Finally got my plume veil. I set her atop the Stingray X, running in hybrid mode. O... M... G... This thing hits like a truck!!
I wouldn't recommend newbies running the mod in hybrid though, I see SO MUCH potential for battery vent if you're not paying attention..

you aint kidding, that is Purdy.

Got the same two pieces of hardware here as well except that I run my Magma on top of my X in hybrid mode and my PV on top of my original Phantom Brass Stingray.

Love me some Stingrays! They're about the only mods I use anymore. Going to have to venture over to the classies soon and sell off a bunch of mods.

Pardon my lack of knowledge but why would you run your magma in hybrid mode isn't it an rda?

Hybrid mode is an adapter that screws onto the bottom of the atty that allows the battery to contact the 510 connection directly, rather than the standard top.. I'll take pics and post for ya in a few. Lol

Ok I see now you don't have the top cap between tank and battery just a smooth transition. Right on clean look. I've been think normal tanks had something different that kept you from using a top cap. Is there?

Only unless the tank's 510 connection doesn't reach the 510 connection in the normal 510 connection in the Stingray's top cap. Even then one might be screwed in that it won't touch the top of the battery either but I doubt either would be the case.

I'd see that being a good way to not have any voltage drop at all one less transition/connection.

Correct. But it also adds for a shorter, sleeker look. Win! Win!

I've been trying for over a month to find an adapter for my Original Phantom Brass Stingray and have been unsuccessful thus far. Seems that the PB Stingray has different threads than later version Stingrays. Why they changed it, I'll never know. F#$%kers!

Here is the adapter:

Here it is as it fits on the atty:

Here it is just resting in the mod where the regular 510 cap goes:

This is an awesome idea. I wish all mechs had an option like this. Allows the battery to directly contact the atty 510 pin. Super responsive and fast heat up. I'd post a test fire video if I could figure out how to host it. Lol

ah cool i get it now, yea there is one with my stingray when it arrives, i will try it, i cant wait for everything to arrive, im so impatient, my blinking manhatten has been pt back another week about 3 times now lol, but i dont mind waiting, i have plenty to tinker and get on with :)

regards the multimeter, i cant live without mine, i still use the ohm meter to check ohms, and i use the multimeter to check everything once its all installed together, plus i can check the battery volts quicker with it than putting the battery in the charger to find out how much charge it has
