Disclaimer! this could possibly damage you SVD so do it at your own risk.

so i was sitting looking at the screen and saw a spec behind the screen so it took it off to clean it. what i found made me  . there is a plastic piece to cover the display and space the tinted window up that is ground for some reason. the spec i saw was actually a deep gouge from grinding it down. i used a butane torch to melt it just enough to make it clearer. i have done this with lexan and acrylics to polish cut edges. i didnt know it was a spacer so i did it in the SVD still. i have another SVD so i compared them and it is a big improvement. wasnt till i started to do the second one that the spacer fell out so i did that one out of the mod and melted it a bit  . still wasnt able to get the gouges all the way out. couple pics to show how it looks now. didnt get any before and the first is the one i melted. the C is a bit wonk on the top and bottom but looks alot better. might check it later and see if i can get a piece of plexi or something to replace it. so if you have a blurry screen and want to improve it you can try lightly torching it till it becomes clear.
