I've been looking at these coil jigs for a while and how I would use it. The Kuro type jigs won't work unless the post comes out so I can use the post while I attach the coil on the deck posts. They might make pretty coils but they're useless if they deform when installing it. I also want to be able to make different size coils w/o buying a bunch of them.

This is the one I'll probably get since it has the sizes I would actually use (2.0mm, 2.5mm and 3.0mm)

$4.66 Vaping Coil Winding Jig Tool for Rebuildable Atomizers - aluminum / black / 1.5mm + 2.0mm + 2.5mm + 3.0mm + 3.5mm winding rods at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping
I have a recoiling jig that has 5 different size pins in which works wonders.

Also bought a cheap device that has main size in increments. So at the front is 1.5 then goes to 2 and so on. It's a lot more fiddly but does the job when I'm in a hurry.

On your next refill try just unscrewing the drip tip adapter and refilling. Five refills and no issues - the 510 adapter threads have two slots in them meaning pressure isn't applied until the o-ring seals which seems to reduce the pressure.

That's how I fill my K4 always.

Kuro Koiler Wire Coiling Tool (3-Piece Set) - FastTech

Of course they're a clone of the Kuro Coiler - but hey, what the...

Ps.: Btw, they also have another one, kind of a take on the Coil Master here: Wire Coiling Tool + Screwdriver Kit - FastTech
I saw rips overview on it. It's a pretty cool little device

Qorax...
I'm currently using a 2.8mm micro coil, with absolutely ZERO issues...and can't imagine 0.2mm making that much more of a difference...

I think the key to running a coil that large in diameter is how high you run the voltage/wattage.
I'm running it at 10 watts, it's a 28g 5-6 wrap 1.4 ohm coil.
Japanese cotton. The thing wicks like a dream. Not that 10 watts is high...but maybe it's the threshold?

Junny, I have a question for you...
Are you making sure to close your juice control, immediately after you put the tank back on?
The way I do mine:
1. Turn KF4 upside down
2. Open JC
3. Unscrew tank
4. Build
5. Turn KF4 upside down
6. Attach tank
7. Close JC
8. Turn KF4 right side up
9. Open top cap
10. Fill
11. Close top cap
12. Open JC

I have not yet gone over 2.5mm (mini screwdriver) with any atty. My regulars are 2mm (toothpick), I've never gone below which ether.

II tried all possible coil diameters so far, but the best results i have obtained with 3 mm bit, 28 mm V4A Stainless Steel Wire (1.4404 X2CrNiMo17-12-2, AISI 316L), that is much better then Kanthal IMO, 11 wraps, 1,6 ohm.
Japanese cotton koh gen do, cut shorter to only touch the base, pressed a little to center post, and the two juice feed holes left open.
16 Watts.
A dream...

FT also has a 3 pack of your sizes for less than $7. I saw the Kuros a while back but at $20 each I passed. I think Kuro got a bit greedy in their pricing.

I ordered the one with 5 rods - this one - before Kuro clone popped up, still in the mail.

I have carted it - and now looking for some more stuff to add (to justify the $2 additional shipping) ;)

Isn't FT free worldwide shipping?

So i should try using more wick? Will try it again...was getting dry hits as i used too much cotton before. So before i left i cut a bit off each end. Got to work and it started leaking.

If your not getting dry hits try turning up your wattage. Might be leaving juice behind to drip out the air holes. Or in other words, what he said.

Sent with no malice and not a whole lot of forethought from my new Galaxy Tab 4. Thanks Santa!

I see what you're saying, but with regulated mods I don't see an issue with added resistance as long as the resistance is stable and repeats.

The "stable and repeats" part is the problem, it doesn't seem to.

Saw that one too and thought exactly the same thing, looks kinda fiddly.

I was having problems with vapor locking, dry hits, TP, etc, so I reduced my Rayon wick tails. Still vapor locked. I trimmed the wick completely off of the deck and it still wouldn't bubble. So I removed the wick completely, and much to my surprise, my 100%VG juice would not budge! I could only get it to flood by removing the Fill cap completely and letting it sit for a minute, and it still didn't flood very badly. It was more like a slight leak.

Yes, I know how the Juice Control works.

I re-wicked my 3mm coil and made sure the wick tails touched the deck and covered the juice holes, and I was back to flavorful vaping at 28 watts with plenty of little bubbles in the tank

So I guess it's safe to say that the wick literally pulls the juice into the chamber?... That's exactly opposite of what I thought was going on. I kinda pictured the wick as a plug to keep the juice out of the chamber!

Speaking of coiling jigs, anyone order the new one from coiler-master.net? Think I might grab one to try. Similar to the kuro but 5 heads for price of one.

That's a cool one, better than the Kuro imo. Tad lower quality tho - pls checkout Todd's nice review of it:

Well, if that was not the case e-Cigarettes probably wouldn't've been successful ;)

Oh yes, it is. However, we opt for the Canada Xpress ePacket (additional $2) which gets our packages within 5-6 days here :)

Yeah, that review is what led me to order it, hehe. I don't think it's worth the extra $40 for something that does the exact same thing. If I only made a single coil size I would go Kuro, but that isn't the case.
