Let me repeat my post #2081 once again...

Rayon, Which One?

There are just Four Packages to choose from:
161ez4g.jpg

#44050, 44053 & 44070 are also rayon, but pls don't buy it

Why only these four (to be used as wicks)?

Purchase it at:
1. Sally’s: Graham Sanek CelluCotton 100% Cotton Coil
2. Texas’: Graham CelluCotton - Rayon Fibers - Texas Beauty Supplies
3. KBB’s: Graham CelluCotton Beauty Coil 100% Rayon 3 lb 44043
4. eBay: Vaping Pack Graham Cellucotton 100RAYON 10M + KGD 5 Pcs | eBay
5. Amazon (Small Box): Amazon.com: Graham Cellucotton 40 Ft. Box

CAUTION: Their #44050, 44053 & 44070 are also Rayon, but they are “reinforced”. Meaning: These rayon strings have an aseptic paper string running along the entire length. Which we need to cautiously “remove" before use. Else, our wick shall be a ‘toast’! Avoid purchasing them.

It's this one,

I use the same amount as KGD, works well.

I ordered the 100% Rayon from Sally Beauty Supppy (thanks to Qorox for the beads up) the the night before last. I'd recommend getting it from there, like others have mentioned. On Amazon some items that said Rayon were getting reviews from people that the cotton was sent, and prices tend to be somebody inflated, at least from what I saw.

Of course, if you are outside of US/CAN...

Edit: oh shiz, I posted this before reading the next page or so, lol. Looking directly above my post I'm all like

What is the difference?

Wouldn't the cotton one be better?

Thanks, Jim

Rayon is pure cellulose (wood pulp). I find that it wicks better/faster than cotton. Rayon has a better capillary action. It's easier for me to work with and get the proper amount in the coil.

Cotton absorbs the juice where as rayon does not. In my drippers, I can vape one flavor down, drip a different flavor and instantly taste the new flavor. Not so with cotton.

No off taste and no break in period with rayon.

I have never used rayon and was wondering if rayon needed to be boiled prior to use? If so, how long?

Not at all. I think it's sterile out of the box. I might be wrong but, it's really clean anyway.

Sent with no malice and not a whole lot of forethought from my new Galaxy Tab 4. Thanks Santa!

Thanks jaxgator! I've been content with silica (3 yrs), but this thread has opened my mind to different alternatives. Thanks to everyone that has contributed to this thread!

I personally think Rayon vapes 10X better than silica and believe it's safer.

Patience my instructor friend. You know most students don't take good notes. Heck when I was an instructor in the Navy some of them couldn't pass an open book test!

Yeah, still not able to adjust a comfortable tight draw on the V4. It's gurgly (like a flooded BVC) when you turn the screw in to make it tighter, it's probably the condensate around the 6 inlet holes and the condensate/air playing around the air adjustment screw. It's just not smooth as the open draw is.. Same after cleaning and wiping the base. Comfortable lung hits (for me, that is), but I'd prefer a nice mouth-to-lung, it should be doable, eh? It HAS adjustable airflow..
Suggestions?

Update: Ha, forgot to open juice after refilling, got dry hits on high W, wanted to take apart. Coudn't, the whole top was stuck on the base. After few mins in the freezer everything opened nicely, but I did a warm-water cleaning and wiping on everything, the air hole under the coil too. Well, NOW the tighter draw works nice and smooth. Sofar - solved:)

I just use one of my smaller diameter precision screwdrivers to loosen the base from the chimney. Just insert the screwdriver into one of the four air-intake ports and your problem is solved.....

"Dirty" draw returned. I think it's because the air screw is too loose in the threads. Have a fix in mind - wrap a bit of rayon around it, make it tighter.
Ideas?

I'm not trying to scold YOU or anything, but I feel like you shouldn't have to mess with an almost $/£/€200 atomizer that much...
What is your main issue with it, and what are you trying to accomplish?

I feel I shouldn't have to either on a €160 atomizer, but yet I do.
Try to tighten the air draw on yours, make it 1/2 open. Is it a smooth tight draw? If so, than it's fine.
It's not on mine.
Like I wrote - my only issue is the gurgly tight draw, and i want to make it work for me. Open is too open for me (at least at this vaping stage). It's not that I'm rebuilding, altering the whole thing.

I like my stuff perfect.

I am shipping the clone back to the seller today, Angie, it's not auth. I can assure you. It's a nice atty, but the finish and machining is different. Side by side, there is a noticeable diff. Svoemesto will say if any changes are made in batches like they did for the KFL. The small details I tried to state are a giveaway, but the main is a tangible thing you have to see in person. Yours has a blue screwdriver, that screams clone. I'm sorry.

I got mine from cloud9 and it had a blue screw driver. I don't think that's any indication of being a clone.
