We all give good advice because we didn't follow them ourselves :D

My first ever coil was done on a kayfun mini V2.1

If you think a kfl has a tiny deck, imagine a kf mini.... Man was I stupid lol.

It did work quite nicely though :)

Regards
Tony

Sent from my keyboard through my phone or something like that.

Never even tried it. My fingers ain't that nimble any more.

Sent with no malice and not a whole lot of forethought from my new Galaxy Tab 4. Thanks Santa!

Can kinda see, & somewhat agree, with this. But it depends on one's perspective & experience. If you're coming from genesis attys, or some rda's, the V4 is a piece of cake. If your only experience is bottom fed tanks with store bought heads, yea, wouldn't recommend a kayfun.

That's pretty much what I was referring to.

I've tried everything. 10 different builds, different coils, and wicks. It sucks no matter what I do.

I officially give up. My K3.1 gives me better flavor and I don't have to be a rocket scientist to make it work. This thing is going on the shelf along with the other failure tanks.

Houston, we have a problem!

And when you're done with your coil you can pick your teeth between vapes. It's a win-win.

If that big ... coil is working by golly don't change horses mid stream. Stick with what's working.

Okay, I gave it one more shot and I think I have it.

I had to go to 5 wraps at 2.8mm ID of .26ga kanthal - comes out to 0.8ohm and wicked it with ... cotton such that the wick just touches the deck. Finally wicks properly without trying out but the taste is still only 60% of the Kayfun 3.1s which is disappointing.

I've never had to ...... with a rebuildable tank before like I have this one. I think there will ultimately be a 4.1 as this one is too finicky to gain the kind of following the past Kayfuns have - frustration will drive people away from it.

Tad bit fiddly you say!

I keep mine trimmed too darn short for that. Edge of a business card works good though!

I've come to very much respect your opinion and input, so please don't think I'm being a jerk or anything by asking - but you do know about the multi-quote feature - right? (Assume you were quoting from multiple pages and I'm too too lazy to look) [emoji1]

Haha - only mentioning and only noticed due to seeing the same signature on Tapatalk that I think I "half read" everytime I see it because Tapatalk makes it look like part of your post... Lol. After the 4th time almost reading your signature, I was like "wait a minute..." haha

Not sure if it was mentioned yet in the thread or for how long they were offering it but if you bought your Kayfun v4 from Self-e-steam.com they are sending out a gold plated thicker spring as an update for the price of shipping,I got 2 coming in the mail :vapor:. I'm trying to find those longer glass add-ons and came across them there. They have the new metal 22mm tanks for them also, but not the long glass one and the extension yet.

That's great! I wonder whether more vendors will offer a free upgrade? It would be nice to think that Intaste haven't listed the new parts on their site as they are waiting for enough stock to offer all their KF4 customers an upgrade.

Don't know how to do it in Tap-a-talk which is what I use 99.9% of the time. Can I? Anyone with info would be appreciated.

On my phone with tapatalk, touch each post you want to respond to. They should turn blue as you touch them, at least on my phone. When done, touch the cloud looking icon. It will then go to the response screen and let you respond under each post separately. Hope this helps.

No worries at all! And I'm on Tapatalk (for Android if it matters) and it does work just like Montana said. Nice little feature.

**PS - I love the collaboration in this forum! I've been on car forums where people aren't so friendly. (Glad I finally joined after basically 2 years of just using this site for research/learning as my "vaperience" grew.) 749+ days of vaping experience under me now!

Just wanna say I finally bought a drill bit set...HUGE difference with a bigger coil/more cotton (not longer but more-thats what she said).

Except, still not used to so many wraps so my coils look horrible, but vaping well so I don't care. Need to pick up some ceramic tweezers eventually and clean up/tighten the coils a bit.

Cool. Now you can go around the house and drill some holes. :)
