• Need help from former MFS (MyFreedomSmokes) customers

Has any found a supplier or company that has tobacco e-juice like or very similar to MFS Turbosmog, Tall Paul, or Red Luck?

I think I have to repost it here as well...

I have no issues with folks using counterfeits (clones as we call it here) if that is what the guy can afford to remain off cigarettes (tho I'd've loved him/her using a Lemo 2, Kanger Sub etc.instead). But going ahead and singing praises for the fake, not to mention bashing the original authentic product, is what irks me to the bone. Now come on, have a heart!

Counter argument: "This is an authentic Infinite". Jeez :(

I'm not bashing the original, i really like this thing, but what i don't understand is why the original gives me such a hard time and the "copy" is working well AFTER sorting out some issues. There is a market for originals and "copied stuff" and i have always respected that.

Well back in my corner, just keep on reading here again since my HONEST opinions seem to hurt some of you guys.

Literally 0 wasted space. You can fill it to the top of the glass tank. By the way, if you are direct lung inhaler, you might have a different experience than mine.

I can't imagine more flavor than the KF4. Might have to look into this Calix. Flavor is the most important thing with ecigs for me. And it's shorter??? Sounds more interesting now.

Tsk tsk Ricks...you just came dangerously close to talking about buying an authentic atomizer...are you feeling ok?
You know there won't be a clone of the Calix right?

I love too, but can't afford :( With each atty costing $180 (incl shipping) on an average it becomes impossible.

Exactly why I don't jump on the bandwagon. Once it starts there is no end. It was easier in the days of Stardusts and Vivi Novas when they only cost $12. Besides, I figger I've attained at least 90% of what I want/need by continuing to use my KFLs. They're paid for. :)

I would kind of argue against this.

It is basic physics and chemistry. The way the vapor is delivered, the way the wick has access to air, the way the coils is located on top of the air hole CHANGES the flavor. Now, Calix offers MORE flavor because of these things, that is a fact. BUT you as a vaper may not like this kind of flavor vs. something else and that is subjective.

I partook in a professionally conducted taste test by a marketing firm that gauged preferences across a variety of beverages...mainly soda drinks and beer. It was a large test in a s....y, downtown Chicago high rise. I was astonished at the results and how humans could not discern between brands (e.g., Coke, Pepsi, house brand, etc) and even types of beverages (e.g., regular beer versus lite beers). As a stats major, for all intents and purposes, our ability as humans to discern flavor is greatly exaggerated. Yes, we can discern things like strawberries and bananas but our ability to discern where they are grown or the brand is where we fail miserably. BTW, Coke versus Pepsi...exactly 50% of the respondents got it right and 50% got it wrong despite some swearing up and down they could tell a difference before they took the test. :)

The main concern I would have with a calix clone would be the type of glue used between the glass and the metal ring.

In order to get things cheaper even copied 100% there still have to be changes. Some types of glue are toxic others break down interacting with the e-juice.... Always beware of that..

Remember the Squape Clones??? Most of them had leakage problems due to the glue and o-rings used from an inferior quality......

Things are overpriced and china has woken up, there prices are getting up also so should be the QC.

Yeah I know about that test. They teach it in MBA classes:) What I am saying is yes taste is very subjective. But the AMOUNT of flavor ( not the quality) is not. Simple physics, if you use two different straws to drink a soda, one with a tighter diameter, they will taste different due to various reasons, one being the location of the tongue that the soda touches first/most and another being condensation.

That is true. 99% of them are Kayfunish and most of them are with a Kayfunisque Deck as well.

Ps.: Where's BNEAT? Two more words for him to LOL on :D

The differing versions can be useful to some and I don't argue that. Some people like more air than a Kayfun. Or they like the features that are found on a Rose w/adjustable juice flow, or the filling features of a K4, or the ability to dual coil on others, etc... But almost all new attys since the Kayfun includes the major features of the Kayfun. Drippers (not even a tank) copped the direct-to-coil airflow and now we see those everywhere. To say the Kayfun revolutionized vaping would be an understatement.

2X's? Not buying that. No way to gauge it. I vape at very low power (8 - 9 watts) because I find I get the most flavor. To me, when you ramp up the power it is nothing but heat to me. And guess what, the large majority of people think I am totally wrong! What's crazier is, I believe them. But I still like 8 - 9 watts more. :)

Coke and Pepsi taste totally different to me. Milk tasted different to me too. I only like Lehigh Valley 2%. All others just taste weird.

What's your ohms? I used to be at 8-9. But with the KF4 and 2Ω coils I'm now at 10-12 watts
