I keep feeling slightly disturbed by the swap section where I see people swapping or selling opened bottles of e-liquid. I mean, yes, I understand it, I have several bottles of stuff I don't really like that I only tried once that is perfectly good.

But, this is a very anonymous forum on the internet. I'm uneasy about tampering and let's face it, there's some weird people. I would just hate to see a post like "Riskee juice made me sick" and it turned out the person bought an open bottle from a stranger.

This is a real tight trusting group. Am I being overly cautious or paranoid?

I think that you have to work on the assumption that the vast majority of the world's population would never knowingly harm a fellow human. THis also applies to this forum's users.

I've made a couple of swaps and purchases with people who are relatively local and all have gone well. However, I might avoid buying anything from someone calling themselves Dr Crippen, or Charles Manson :)

If you want to be ultra cautious, it's easy enough to use paypal to confirm addresses when buying or swapping juice (when swapping, you pay eachother a small sum of, say £1.00)

Never really thought about it like that, but as we basically swapping poison anyhow they would have to be very warped, If there any such people on this forum or lurkers you may have now planted the seed into there heads :D

I think like turbojunk says most people are genuine and just got flavors they don`t like? I know I have tried several that just 3/4 drips is enough to tell it isn`t for me and rather than waste it have sold it on.

As a matter of fact at moment am tempted by a bottle offered to me by a very nice gentleman called Graham Young 8-o

Yes, considering we actually swap deadly poison it reminds me of the desperate cry in M*A*S*H when K. pretended to try and burn himself alive:

Klinger: "Who put gasoline in my gasoline???"
:D

(If the other party wanted to hurt me, there would not be a real problem to reseal the bottle and pretend it has never been opened, I think.)

Coming soon...

Jack Kervorkian's "Special" Smoke Juice.

It's to die for!

Sorry, I just had to.

I agree that most people would never knowingly harm another person. Of course there are exceptions. I would be wary of trading with someone who you know nothing about. I would not trade with someone who is at 1 or 2 posts. But I think most people on here are pretty good. Just look at their previous posts. If there's a post about how much cyanide to put in e-liquid, you should probably stay away.

Definatelly a tough call.......

I don't believe I'd find myself purchasing open or even unopenned bottles from anyone. Simply for the reason that I personally wouldn't offer them myself because if I wasn't satisfied with any given flavor there would be no reason to not use it as a diluter by dropping into a liquid that I enjoy.

I would think that by only putting a couple drops or so of the disliked liquid into the other wouldn't be enough to actually alter the overall taste and in the end would extend one of my favorites by one bottle when all is said and done.

Thats MY view on it anyway.
