Wow, be careful over there in HK, Richard!
LOL Violet, I am a southern girl to the bone, born and raised here. I'm also the oldest child in my family and therefore I was the one that always went fishing with my father. Didn't have a choice in the matter either, Dad needed someone to go behind him with the cooler.
I've never in my life seen someone in neck deep water, barely treading water, sling a cast net and make a perfect throw like my father can. I'd float behind him hanging onto the cooler and he'd empty the net it after each throw. We were at the Guana State Park one day, fishing with the net just like I described. When we swam to shore, there was a man standing there and he'd been watching us. He asked to look in the cooler to see what we caught and when he saw all the fish in there, he looked at my father and said, "son, there ain't any sport in fishing like that!" My Dad just responded with, "yes sir, you are right. But you see, I've got 4 kids at home to feed and I'm not fishing for the sport of it. I'm fishing for the support of it!"
Yep, I can cast a net as good as any man too but hey, don't all good southern girls know how. LOL
Now where is Brad? I'm beginning to worry about him!
