Hey Groupsters.

Here;s my problem.I have 2 mods.An REO mini and a Phidias.They are fabulous at times but more often than not they aren't.It has to be me.Why would 2 mods from 2 different vendors have the same problem? The problem is this.They are both atty and carto killers.
I have tried,Boge,510's, 510 lr's,306's Gv's duel whatever cartos and see through cartos

So what am I doing wrong? Please point me in the right direction.
Any and all help will be sooooooooooooo appreciated.

Wow , I thought I was an atty killer. Here is my thought. This happened to me once (or twice) I had a bad connector, it fried my mod but the mod still worked enough for me to not realize it. Then after that the attys died quickly because there was a short in the mod. I would send the reo to be looked at and then when you get your new Grip don't put any old atty's on it just incase the culprit is lurking in your used but not dead yet, atty supply. And inspect your adapters if you use those .

That is why I kill most of mine. I have used cartos mostly because I get more use out of them and they cost less. But, I really like the way attys taste. I have been doing better with atty killing on this last batch I got . I am almost a week on an lr 510 , that is a record for me LOL.

Me too. The cartos do much better than the attys.But this is weird too. I can be a happy vaper for about 3 days on a carto.When it's time to pitch it,I replace it with the same carto from the same box and snap it burns it almost immediately.Both mods are so inconsistent.I did send mine back to the Reo maker.He sent it back but it's still not what I get even from my 6 month old ego.I e-mailed the Phidias guy and he just kinda said attys do that.
I have all brand new everything for my mini grip.I usually throw att burnt or cool running attys and cartos away anyway. But this little baby has everything new and most of it will be coming home with it from Brad.

I still do prep all my attys new and used every morning to maintain them. As Nyxie said the connector (or an adapter) could be the culprit but in most cases its an atty being used dry too often or sometimes be flooded too often. In the end....attys will be attys and they can blow from the getgo no matter what you do. For sure the weak link in any PV.

I agree, Gil!

When you sqeeze or squonk your juice bottle, take a couple of draws or puffs on your mods BEFORE you hit the fire button. You have to suck the juice up into the atty sometimes. Also, if you let your mod sit for a few minutes, same thing, give it a quick draw before igniting your atty.

I'm telling ya'll, I was the Queen of killing attys! I'd either kill the atty or my throat before I finally realized that it isn't enough just to push the juice bottle to get the liquid to where it needed to be. Since I've figured this out, I've not thrown out one burnt/dead atty. Every atty that I toss now still works but after a month or two of use is long enough, gotta go.

I know everyone has different preferences when it come to their mods equipment(Atty's batteries,cartos,and of course juice..I would like to know what you choose to use with your mod and why.
I'm so all over the place maybe something that works for you might work for me as well.I'm not unwilling to invest money to hit Nirvana.I just can't seem to match what with what.I do like RY4 and Morley from Want2Vape.That's it. I don't have a fave atty or carto.

I just got my new HH.357 so the jury is still out but I love Cisco 1.5Ω 510s & 306s. Juice is sooooo subjective but I get AVE BB, HG & GJ in 100ml bottles because I AM the laziest person on the planet. Its obvious which Mod I like but but I am jealous of the Reaper and I have yet to try the Grip...(yet being the key word) Btw...Brad's attys reeeeeeeeealy surprised me. They work imo as well as any Cisco ever has tho life span was shorter but for half the price I will which once he get more in. AW IMR is my battery of choice.

I got sick in December, really sick! Used to LOVE Apple Pie ala mode, Caramel cream, Banana Foster, Hazelnut coffee..all the sweet yummy liquids but when I fell ill and since then, can't vape anything other than Peppermint! That and the docs saved my life. LOL Started to try to expand a bit with the eliquids, got some Peppermint Ice Cream flavor and not only do I love the taste, but it loves me too!

As far as attys, I use Joye 306LR. Those make for a warm vape, cool vapes taste flat to me. With the 306LR and the peppermint, I've been able to lower my nicotine to 6mg and going to lower it even more in a few. I get the Joye's from Liberty Flights (US not UK site) and if you click on the 20% icon in the upper left on their site, it will automatically reduce the cost of everything.

A pack of 5 306LR's (Joye) cost $28.00 and I've always had great luck with them and LF.....never had a bad atty.

And I prefer 50/50 PG/VG too, I will flood my atty with thin eliquid on my bottom feeder mod.

Brad's attys or Vapage Hybrid bottomfeeders if you have trouble with flooding try those good flavor and vapor...Cisco 357 hybrids have no flavor-vapor but no flavor...my

Oh I hope you get Elwood soon, and maybe a pic in the meantime! Have to warn you though, seeing it only makes you want it MORE and the wait more difficult.

I've got a strong feeling that my Grip will be here tomorrow! My mail usually runs around 2pm, about the same time that my grandson takes a nap! Would be a good thing but I live about a half mile down a dirt road and the boxes are out on the main road. Sooooooo, I figured I'd make a big batch of cookies, with extra chocolate chips and feed them to the g'son after his lunch.

That ought to put a spring in his step, keep him up and running til the mail comes. Lordy, I hope my Grip gets here tomorrow or I'm in trouble. LOL
