Hello everyone! I'll try to keep this semi short (I just have soo much to say :) so I have been vaping for about a month rotating 2 vision spinner 2's with a Nautilus mini. I've comfortably dropped from 24 nic to 6!! I like the mild harshness in my throat that I get from vv devices bc it is similar to reg cigs and I don't want to lose that. However I am getting frustrated at the short battery life and making sure that I always have a spare etc. I would like a pass through. Also I do like the feeling of the vs2 in my hand as opposed to a big bulky box mod, but the vs2 doesn't leave me much room to grow. Right now I'm in to simplicity and low maintenance but I would eventually like to get in to rebuilding and other things. Is there a device that is simple enough not to turn me off to vaping but has the capability of growing with me? Am I asking too much? Oh also idk if it matters bc I really don't know much at all about this stuff, but my juices are usually 50/50 blend and I am a constant vaper at home, break time only at work. I also don't make a lot of money so if I can find something that doesn't burn through juice like crazy and doesn't total cost an arm and a leg... I know I'm asking for a lot but unfortunately, once I buy something, that's what I'll be vaping on until it breaks. I see people dropping so much $ on vaping and I'm just not able. The upkeep on my vs2 is about $7/wk on juice and a $4 coil ABOUT every 7-9 days. Thanks everyone in advance for suffering through this long msg and ty for ANY & ALL input.

howdy!

there are a number of reasonably priced mods out there and you could start off with one that has better battery life and will also support your nautilus tank (since it is 510 threaded, that is pretty much all of 'em) - one of the questions you have to look at is if you want to keep internal battery (good for ease of use, bad for when battery goes, mod is dead too) or external battery (good for replaceable batteries, but you will want an external charger and a backup battery)...

if that setup is working for you, i would suggest taking a look at something like

the evic vtc mini, a pair of samsung 30q or lg hg2 batteries and a nitecore d2 charger (charger +2 lg2's at illumn.com under $30 shipped, evic vtc mini available around $40) the evic is firmware upgradeable, can do either wattage or temp control mode and thus far, mine has been very reliable - small form factor, easy to use

or one of the iSticks - internal battery, so no batteries to buy and available in a number of wattage settings 20, 40(with TC), 50, 60

iStick 20w next to Bic lighter (the 30w is better and only slightly larger)

The eLeaf iSticks and Evic VTC Mini are both good suggestions. As for a Tank you can experiment with, the Kanger Subtank Mini. It uses replaceable coils from .2ohm up to 1.5ohm coils, and includes an RBA Deck to build your own coils at what ever resistance you want.

A Kayfun Lite Plus or Kayfun V4 are good Rebuildable tanks for higher resistance vaping(Usually want to build around 1.4-1.8ohms)
You can get clones for cheap prices, I recommend Tobecco or EHPro.

You will need rolls of Kanthal Wire, which is cheap, and some tools for building. I suggest you research very good before Building your own coils though.

Keep asking questions until you find what you want!

Welcome to ECF! :)

Edit* I dont usually have recommendations for tube mods but, if you dont like box mods you could get something like this Aspire CF MAXX 50 Watt - Aspire - Electronic Mods
Which is a Regulated VW mod from 5-50Ws and has an Internal battery, so like any other you would need two so you dont have to recharge it all the time leaving you without a Vape.

Or a tube mod that takes External batteries such as an SVD 2.0
Innokin iTaste SVD 2.0 Kit - 20W

:):):):)Wow I didn't expect so much great advice thank you all so much. I will keep watching reviews on YouTube and doing my research online as well. I'm hoping to find something that has both vv and vw so that while I'm messing around and learning where my vw vape spot is, I know I'm still be able to switch it to vv and continue with the vape I love. Also that way I won't feel rushed into something I don't understand. Again thank you so so much and feel free to continue with the suggestions. I am still kind of a beginner, so there is much I do not understand. I have no idea about temp control. Not the slightest. I'm not sure about rebuildables yet. I wana definitely do more research in that department. I don't know anyone that vapes so it's a bit difficult for me. It seems my local shops just want me to hurry up and buy something or get out. I've even been told that twice. I will continue to post my questions as they arise. ☺☺

Others have suggested these, but just for reinforcement...

I outgrew my collection of ever-larger Vision Spinners. I think the last was a V2 1650
or something similar. The replacements, which I've been happy with for about a year,
are istick 30s—small, light weight, last about a day between charges— and HeatVape 50s withreplaceable batteries. Both are simple, durable, and work well.
For tanks, I am very happy with GS Airs, the GS airM, and GS Tank. All share a variety of good coils, which some people rebuild. I don't, yet, because they are fairly inexpensive.

Unfortunately A LOT of vape shops just want to push a certain item onto new customers that brings them the most money..
Its Good you came online and to ECF for info! Many people get fooled out of a lot of money at local vape shops these days for something they didn't want/doesn't suit them...
There not all that way, but it is harder and harder to find a good one these days with how fast they are popping up.

BTW I was also worried about switching to box mods when they first started showing up, I thought they were very odd but once I got my first one, pretty much every mod I have now is a Box Mod. :)

All I can speak of is what I know; when i decided to move up from spinners & my Aerotank I went to a Kanger Sub-tank Mini & a Sigeli 30w box with changeable batts. but things have changed alot since then. Since I love my Sub-tank so much I would have to recommend the new Kangertech kits with the sub-tank! JMHO:thumbs::headbang:

I'm not sure I am replying to your message correctly, but I was wondering what is a GS?
Its a Clearomizer/Tank heres a link to some Eleaf Tanks - Eleaf - Tanks & Coils
The regular GS Air and GS Air M are pretty popular. The GS Air M is a nice sized one with good capacity.

Edit* Looks like their coming out with a newer GS Air, the GS Air 2's!

I don't know what the GS stands for, if anything. They are all made by eleaf-ismoka, the manufacturer of the istick mods.
