Looks like I need to leave the New Members forum it's too flooded and I'm not getting replies. I went from basic eGo/EVOD to a Tesla VV/VW 18650, and now mainly use a 26650 Dreadnaught. Going over three months nearly smoke free from pack a day. I really need help finding best deal on DIY ejuice as the dread consumes it like the beast it is. Just rebuilt my shop made .25 dual coil setup to what should be about .50 dual coil using 22g kanthal and cotton wick. Doubled the coil size using same 22g kanthal. The original shop build at .25 was burning my flavor and cotton bad. The new setup is awesome! The dread purchase ended my 1 or 2 cig a day ordeal. I'm now a 100% ecig user and would like to keep it that way. rda is new to me but I have much electronic experience. Calculations, coil builds, etc, is not an issue for myself. After using the dread for a while I've realized priming the main wick with juice is a must even after two large hits. My local shop does 70/30 pg/vg mix and month back realized pg is not my thing. Run 100% vg now as the throat hit of pg is not enjoyable.

That mod looks sick! Link to where I can find one? :x

As for DIY ejuice, I only use mine to switch up flavors for an hour or so while I'm at the house if I'm in the mood for something..... different? VG from walmart and certain flavorings from the baking aisle has served me well. Just make sure it's USP VG and the flavorings don't contain a high amount of alcohol. Rootbeer and strawberry are among my favorite DIY juices. I only ever make enough to drip for about an hour, so I can always change the strength up too ^^ Hope this helped

This mod is a clone of the original dreadnaught which cost in the range of $250. From what I've gathered the ebay seller I purchased through has the highest quality clone out there. The build is very solid, the threads are big, and only has one flaw on the firing shaft. You must apply pressure slightly sideways on the shaft to ensure good contact to the metal casing. A perfect straight press might not fire as the shaft isn't contacting the body. If you're interested I will private message you the sellers user name. This mod cost $60 no batteries, no charger, no coil build, etc... Total with whats required extra you're looking around $100.

I'm confused as to your suggestion for purchasing PG at wal-mart. Unless you vape with no nicotine of course, LOL. I need my fix! Never thought about purchasing some flavors in a retail store. Worth trying that's for sure. Seems the average I've found on wholesale pre-mixed online VG is $30 for a liter. Not bad at all. I'm paying $12 for a pre-made 30ml at my local shop. So 33 of those bottles would be filled. Actually more after adding flavoring. :)

that is BEAST of a mod for sure. nice set up you got there. As far as the DIY juice goes, I have used wizard labs and one stop DIY shop. They have everything you need to get started and maintain. hope this helps
Thanks, I'm really enjoying the current setup on my dread, but man does it burn some ejuice quick! The vapor clouds look like smoke so thick. LOVE IT! Think the dread is one of the coolest looking 26650 mechanical mods out there. Will check out the sites you've mentioned. Right now I'm considering quad coil setup using same size of front dual coils. Would be some serious vapor. Not sure thought because the air holes are only on one side... Also, this is day three NOT EVEN ONE CIG!

If you do a quad setup turn your air holes even with the neg posts so both sides get a parallel airflow, then switch over every couple draws to the opposite side to keep the front coils from drying out, it is a hassle but it works. I found duals centered work best for me. I also make my coils off a .3 mm precision screwdriver. The dread is a hell of a mech, mine is #62 off the first production run and even that has issues with the fireing pin. Every now and again I get a hot button, throughout cleaning of all parts is almost always the fix. Good on you for dropping the cigs. Keep it up.

Thanks you guys. Man today was a long day. Vaped the life out of my dread literally. At work I had mention of it being "on max" or a "fog machine". After work when I hit the bar she was probably about in the 3.7 volt range. Shared it with a good friend and kept on vaporizing. Get home from a fresh charge some odd 20 hours later. 2.7 volts... The massive dual coils would literally not fire anymore. Only produce a small streamer of fog. My local shop told me do 3.6 min on the voltage so today they got proved wrong. The 26650 batteries are killer, and I don't even have a true top end brand such as the sony.

Hey man, congrats on the new rig. Some bad info here though.
Do not run your battery down to the point where it doesn't fire anymore. Its bad for the battery and its potentially dangerous. The shop was about right, don't let it drop below 3.6. If you detect performance dropping off, swap out the battery.
Also, I don't think I'd use flavors from Walmart to make liquid. You can get VG from there to use in a pinch, but you'll be paying about 300% more than you need to pay.
Lastly, invest in a multimeter or at least an ohms checker. Don't use guesswork on your builds, especially using 22 ga wire.

Thanks for the information. Didn't know the battery was that low. Never vaped the setup that much in the term of a day. I use a multimeter that's how I got the battery voltage. Doesn't do a good job at all measuring low ohm but from the bad readings I've gathered the dual coils should equal .5 ohm. Wouldn't buy flavoring at wal-mart or the VG... :)

Just made four base flavors 10ml each at 1.5% nic. Custard, Vanilla, Cheesecake, and Strawberry. Took two hours as first timer being very thorough, accurate, and safe. Glad I got the dreadnaught because an RDA is perfect for trying a mix of flavors. Found the cheesecake to be a basic base as the reviews said. Added some strawberry and it was much better. A even mix of strawberry/vanilla/cheesecake made for some awesome strawberry cheesecake. This is straight from creation to RDA so I can only assume the flavors will stand out after a week or so with proper method. Remember I'm basically 90% VG as the flavorings are set in PG. I did 10% on the flavor for each. Don't know what it is either but the wizardlabs nicotine feels different than what my local shop supplies. Hit me like a brick at 1.5% with a better enjoyable feeling. Maybe just because it's fresh or mindset of being a DIY, LOL! I LIKE IT!!! Now I'm debating mixing the three 10ml into a 30ml for the end result.

So back to my question. Right now I'm storing everything in fridge. Flavor concentrates, 100% VG, and 10% Nic/VG solution. Will they last or should I consider freezing? Is thaw/refreeze multiple times an option? Need input from the pro's. Thanks you guys. :)
