Ok, so here's what I've been hammering away at lately. It took a little longer than I had hoped for, but glad it's all done! :)

This chip has been upgraded to 35 watts and also wired for reverse polarity protection. Just waiting on the 50 Watt upgrade. :)

So far, the chip has performed exceptionally well. I haven't ran into any major issues. I was a bit skeptical about the whole tilt thing, but after playing around with it, I've learned to like it.

Anyhow, here goes.....

poland, and the brassy lands of google
Oh yeah, all that thought about the gravity switch and I forgot it needs the one button. Quite thin at 21. The overall design reminds me of a vapemate, but for a much better purpose. Of course all the detail work is to notch as well. Can all of this be done on a milling machine or was a lathe used too?

MurphyLee, I think you are over reacting a little there. If all modders had to find a new design then there would only be 1 tube mod and a handful of box mods that would be considered original design. Also note that he is using an SX350 board and not the dna which necessitates a wider profile.

They are SIMILIAR. Not an exact copy. Yes he used a 2 done box mod with the rounded out area for the battery. His is much nicer and more well done. Also the SX-350 Chip in it is quite a bit better than the DNA 30. He actually took the time to machine the metal from start to finish. He may have just liked the design of the ZNA and added his own touches to it, but in no way did he steal their exact design. Next time don't jump the gun just because it looks alike... As somebody else said almost every mech mod uses the same body style and lock ring and firing switch. Does that mean they copied each other? No. As for the ZNA... it looks like absolute .... compared to OP's mod :)

Also... Where is the firing button located? Didn't see one in the pictures... or I overlooked it.

Greetings all!

Thanks again for all the responses. It's a great feeling to receive kudos and words of encouragement from such an esteemed bunch of folks. I've learned a great deal from you and this board. Folks on here are always ready to roll up their sleeves to help one another out.

I didn't mean to cause such a stir with my build. I suspected that some folks might get their feathers ruffled. Again, that was not my intent.

My intent was very fundamental - build a mod with a chip to regulate the power. I arrived at this decision after building a Hammond box with dual 18650s. The batteries in series coupled with a .2 ohm coil yielded 350+ watts! Let's just say after a couple of puffs I quickly saw the need for a chip to regulate the power.

I started to look around for some ideas for my box. My basic requirements were a milled box, dual/single 18650, and the sx350 chip. After some searching, I found the concept of the battery tube + controls panel to be most efficient for this purpose. I grasped onto that concept and pressed forward with the build.

So, all that said, my stance is that my build shares the same concept as a ZNA. Other than that, there are many differences on the surface as well as under the hood. These differences clearly disqualifies my build as a "clone"

I mean no disrespect to nor do I want to take anything away from ZNA. Though I've never had the pleasure of laying my hands on one, it is a very nice looking product. Now I don't know if they are the original folks for the concept mentioned above, but if they are, I praise them for coming up with this. I built my mod based on some basic requirements and an intriguingly cool concept for the chassis.
