This build is innovation at its finest. Taking something and making it, in some people's opinion, better. I like the look of the ZNA, I haven't held one, but it looks like it would be a joy to hold in the hand, the shape and button placement just seems to work. I'm guessing that the OP felt the same way, but didn't like aspects of its operation. So, he took the basic design and built it how he wanted it.

If this wasn't done in the vaping community, we'd all still be walking around sucking on flashlights!

IF you really wanna know the historics of that design look no further than our own Bapgood. Zen made sure to have a chat with Bap about it since Bap was the origin of this design. I do know Pbusardo asked Bap to give Zen a call in public on youtube after the release of Zna and us all noticing the similarity of design.. Have no idea what happened after that but Bap was ok with it..

Very nice mod OP its awesome.. That fire button is huge awesome..

So not only is this community supposed to act like big tobacco, but now like the gun industry? By definition everyone is ripping China off. They restarted the e-cig industry 10 years ago. All that has happened since are variations of the same base design. Coil, wick, battery, liquid. Where should these lawsuits really be going? Don't forget the big picture any device that gets you off analogs is good. If we sit and toss lawsuits around while the FDA sets up shop, we cut our own throat. Look at the devices released in the last year. 90% would not exist if the FDA regulations were in effect now.

Well that design goes back to the fistpack actually. But the use of a body tube and collar setup ... not a feature of anything other than the ZNA.
the fistpack was made from a plastic portable device charger that was basically a molded box mod. This is quite distant from that.

I actually had forgotten about the ZNA until it was brought up here. Even if there are a lot of design similarities with this mod, a lot of craftsmanship and attention to detail went into making this mod for which one should be proud to be able to do.

True

It's not that illogical to assume this shape would be reprinted unseen by many, it makes sense, the electronics involved and the used nature.
You could ask a lot of new modders about who is Zen and his products they wouldn't have a clue who.. A year ago everyone who vaped and forumed knew about Zen, who again in controversy stole the genesis design from Raidy. Again design not illogical to assume it would be created in mind to have two common builds due to nature of what its operations of doing.. Sad part Raidy stopped sharing his designs :(

Here's the origin post..

What burns me is the insistence on how the Zen products were vastly improved over raidy's design. I don't see it. For myself, I have completely adopted raidy's original recommendations and once done right it really works a charm. Somehow I feel dated in the world of ramie/hemp and kayfuns, but it just works great for me. And I truly miss raidy's sharing and wish him all the best.

asdaq his last posted design, some sorta pressure switching mod was awesome sounding.. It depends on how much vapor from how hard you sucked. It did not matter 50 watt build or 5 watts max switch on mod, lightly toke and light vapor, toke heavily and huge vapor... That design sounds absolutely awesome especially with all these 100w+ mods about. I haven't visited the post in a while if he posted the how to... He definitely is missed in e-cig modding world, but understood, his designs are revolutionary; the cream de la creme... As good as that origin genesis is, cannot imagine the atomizer he has devised as of lately..

BTW I seem to have mastered this book

Raidy....Ty. I remember the event but not the name. Each new mod/device that comes out is like watching evolution in process. A little from here and a little from there to make something new.

The body was milled and the tube, 510 connector, pins, screws, trigger, batt cap and delrins were all lathed.

BTW, just for clarity, I have not posted pics or discussed this anywhere else other than here.

The pics and information floating out there on Vapor Joe's and FB were posted by a buddy that has a vape shop. We met up at wingstop that day I was done with it. He got a little excited and jumped the gun a bit.
