OK I know I'm probably just over looking something simple. I've got a Renegade X box from Varitube. Tonight after I switched the batteries it reverted to temp mode (I normally use wattage mode) and I can't get it back into wattage mode. I've gone to the menu and where it says "joules" it won't let me use the +/- buttons to switch to "power". I've confirmed both buttons are functioning on other options.... Any suggestions???

I don't use temp mode, all I know is from what I read, and I have never heard of your mod. But, since you haven't gotten any answers, I'll try to help. :)

Have you tried taking the batteries out again and putting them back in again? Have you tried a high ohm kanthal coil? Most mods I've read about have a low and high limit on what ohm temp control will work with, and will kick it out of temp control.

Yeah tried both... My coil is .6 so it shouldn't be knocking it into temp mode... I've been using the same build for a few weeks and the mod for about two months... This just happened out of the blue when I swapped batteries last night (I have used the batteries in it before) . it's the sx350j chip... Gonna try flashing the firmware again and hopefully that helps

I'm saying that if you put a higher ohm kanthal coil -above 1 ohm maybe- that there's a possibility it might kick it out of temp control and back into wattage mode. It has happened on other mods, might work on yours.

Hope the flash works. :)

I know I'm late getting in here and all I have is SX's but I know when I happen to change from Joule to Power I always do it with the atomizer off. Don't know if that will help. I have never heard of this problem I don't use the Power mode much but I do on a couple of mine and never had that problem.

That's really strange. I had to check to see what version I am using in my M's and it's V2.32 which I don't even see available now. I am kind of curious about some of the upgrades they have available one that says 200W I guess thats with the tube. Were you able to get hold of varitube. Perry usually is pretty knowledgeable about those things. It works ok in Joules mode though right?

You got me then I'm sure you've tried turning the system off and back on. I have never had any problem like that although I very rarely go to Power mode. I use mainly Ti. I had to go look at the Renegade and I see it has the 350J which is what I have in all my M's. Never really seen that. You might try this thread SXmini M Class (TEMP CONTROL)
I didn't even know they had new FW upgrades out for the M and the ML. I figured they would finally come out with one for the M to use their SX pure atty that IDK if it will ever come out and I'm not really interested in. I have it on my ML but I'm happy the way mine are all working so no hurry.
