Ok so after many pics of people posting their fancy new sx350 box mod I decided to make my own.

So I'm going to use these parts:

Box: hammond 1590G - Going for single 18650
Wires: 22 awg - Is that enough? or do I need 20 awg?
Switches: Tactile Switch with Round Actuator 300g for DNA 20 D Evolv Pushbutton | eBay two of those for + -, 1 x 16mm Car Waterproof Push Button High Flush Reactable Screw Terminals | eBay for fire, Looks good?
510: Fatdaddy vapes springloaded one, if I can get one the 26th, Other suggestions?
Epoxy: Multibond Epoxy E Fix Adhesive for Metal Wood Glass Ceramic Cement Fiber 100ml | eBay - Couldn't find any in my town (I live in a small town) so I why not go on ebay?
Battery sled: https://www.fasttech.com/products/1290005 - Good enough? Other suggestions?

So when installing the sx350 and after drilling all the holes and cutting out the screen, Do I put epoxy around the cut out of the screen and then firmly press it into place and let that dry? I've never used epoxy for electronics so much of this is new.

And if there's anything I need to know before doing this please let me know since I'm not an expert.

EDIT: Since the hammond 1590g is made of aluminium I wonder how do I stop the sx350 from shorting out when mounting the screen etc?

Battery sled recommend is keystone 1042 single, 1048 dual
18-20ga wire
Use a hot glue or gel so if any problems you can heat and fix/replace

May wanna look into Bapgood's 3d print for that enclosure on the hammond 1590g a precut ready to go..

The new sx-350 chips come pre wired and I think its 22ga I am not sure but other than the usb and buttons it would benefit with lower gauge wires with a very low resistance wired mod.. 510 and batteries 18-20ga nets an extra 10 -15 mins vape time.. If you can do a good job soldering them in :D..

Well since I can cut it my self I don't see why I should pay that amount of cash.

Will look into the sled. By the way, is the 18-20 awg wire necessary? is 22 awg too thin?

Look up:18650 Keystone battery holder (sled) high temp ; part #1043 it's seems more quality then Fasttech ...... Not sure of price but it handles both flat and button top.... I have the dual in my hexohm...... I like it..... it's very solid /durable!

Plus I've seen proof that the springs are responsible for big time voltage drop!

my mod recently devaloped and its for free on thingiverse to print or to send to shapeway for devalopment..the lid is held on by magnets 16.5x3x3mm found on fasttech...all youll have to do is get a tacvtical switch and 510 connector make a few small incisions...done....it is specifically designed for the kayfun 2.1 mini tank system and is dual 18650.

Looks great mate, but I'm going for single 18650 and something small as the kayfun 2.1 is not really of interest to me :) Kayfun lite is where the pleasure starts!

Nothing here, just like your avatar, JohnnyEars. Grin.

Sorry, makkesk8, I would delete this post if I could. Didn't mean to interrupt your thread. I mistakenly thought I was in a general discussion part of the forum. But I like your build and your large fire button. Is it a click? I have been stuck will tact switches in my previous builds, cuz that's all I had available several years ago. Now getting ready for another build and will follow your thread with keen interest. Thanks.
