theres an issue/bug that if you go into the menu, let the mod sit until it turns off and goes back to vape mode it will continuously drain the battery as you describe. try going into the menu, then making sure you exit the menu using the gravity sensor. this should fix it if its related to the same issue. i charged mine (with 50w upgrade) a few days ago, and even though it drains a little (after 2 days of sitting its down to 4.0v) it never drains completely...especially not to 1.7v's.

I'll give this a try. I agree that a drop overnight to 1.7 is extreme, some loss of power when not is use I expect but a discharge from 4.0 to 1.7 seemed a problem to me.
Thanks.

My SX350 will function just fine all day. It was flashed to 50W when it arrived. When left over night with plenty of power remaining, it appears to self discharge and by morning the battery is dead. Any thoughts?

hi cmd !
just finished a sx350 build . it is the 35 w version . it dos not have that problem .I am not using the tilting thing ! my unit came with up down pre wired .so wired up two switches . one thing I noticed......when I use the firing switch to vape it goes into sleep mode ( dimmed screen ) for so many seconds and then shuts down.
but when using an up or down botton it stays on bright for less than 5 seconds and shuts of completely ..to a dark screen !
I don't like to put in an off switch in the mod it uses to much space and it has to be to hefty for the current . what I did was to make a way to unplug the positive lead and doing that to all my mods .until that problem is solved try it .http://i1169.photobucket.com/albums/r512/rolfi6/DSC_0566.jpg

I made an "Altoids Tin" APV and those quick connects would work because access through the door is so easy. On a Hammond, it would be very troublesome. And, none of this should necessary. I hope that the suggestion jmarkus made fixes the problem. Except, if it does then I will have to look to me as having caused the problem and it is so much better to find a cause other than me.

Does anyone have a link to where I can buy an SX300 board or 2? I've got an S-CA1 bottom feeder with only 15watts, this looks like it could fit as a replacement board if I can find a place to sell me less than 50 of them

funny, i bought a firebox to do the same thing. i buy my boards from varitube. also gonna put one of the ss adjustable 510 connectors in there and make it 18650, make the firebox/s-ca1 what it shoulda been.

I got some bad news.... the SX350 wont fit  I wrote to yihiecigar and amonst other things, they told me they no longer make the SX300, and the SX350 is 45.5(L)X19.8(W)X14(H)mm. I took the firebox/s-ca1 apart (add photos after this), and the board which measures 36mm(L)X 19mm (W)X 11mm(D) is a very tight fit already.... so a replacement board would have to be VERY close to the original. It also looks like there is room in this for an 18650, if someone can find or make a longer internal tube of it. If you do find a board and/or tube before me that will work... or mod it in another way, I would love to see.... and get instructions :)

I've had the same problem with two of my mods, left overnight and when coming to use the mod it's off and wont fire. Tested the batteries and they've been drained to less than 2V from being about 4V the night before. There's something draining the battery far faster than what the screen would normally do which is worrying tbh. I was going to make a mod with a lipo batt with wires soldered up but i'm not going to make that until this problem can be sorted out, at least now the 18650 can be taken out and charged as normal very easily.
I don't think it's the menu system bug as stated above because I always use the tilt function and exit out of the menu properly.
