So, another question / issue regarding the SXK Vapeshell. It comes with an adapter you screw onto the base- so you can test your coil on a standard type of mod. After watching a video- seems simple enough, except my vapeshell has a 'waxy' looking (but pretty hard) plug in the center, where it seems the adapter should screw into. (pic on right). This material seems to extend up to at least past the air flow slots (pic left).
Don't think this is normal or belongs there, but before i try to remove it- just want to be sure.

Put the base in hot water, was able to press out this. Some kind of plug of hard plastic.
Beginning to question the authenticity of this SXK (I'm looking at you FT), or SXKs QC. The glass, which was near impossible to take off- seems now to be impossible to slide back on (even with glass and boro tank dripping with juice. The gasket at the top pops out as you get within an 1/8 inch of being closed / sealed.
The Exocet I purchased, and the boro tank that came with the BB worked perfectly, no issues.

If you remove the gasket and then slide the glass on, it should be super easy to slide almost by gravity alone. Check out the gasket closely while you have it out. Out of 20 Boro tanks, one SXK gasket was just like what you have. It had a small crease in the gasket and caused it to be hard to slide and leak when it was near empty.

VERY sleek. Great idea! Wood box would be easier to work with!

Question! I'm thinking of setting up a vape station just by the front door. Grab a mod, batteries, a spare tank or coil (that's why I love Nord coils, with a carto pusher you can change them even with the tank full of juice) and run out the door. Any ideas? I think I can rig something simple such as a plastic box to hold everything...
Yes...get one of those little flat-pack wooden drawer sets. I've got a 9 drawer set and it's perfect for storing those little things in a tidy way....it looks quite classy too :D

That plugs looks to be a left over from the manufacturing process.

The boro slides are prone to doing that even on the authentic. Once it happens it's very difficult to stop it happening again. Always make sure you liberally soak the gasket in vg :)

Amazing wraps, what is the top thing, I haven't received one of those yet.
To be honest i'm not sure. Its a metal reinforced panel with an adhesive back so advertising I suppose to put up in your office or home somewhere. He's really generous I got huge amounts of everything that you see there apart from the 2 plates I ordered :D

Pretty chuffed :)

This one was nearly impossible to open when recd, even after an overnight soaking in juice. So I guess I need a new gasket, as this one buckles with any any of juice.
Will search for a vendor

I agree it's often the best thing to do as once it's kinked it's kinked :) The spare tanks + slide +gasket are so cheap i'd just get a few of those so you have a back up.

There is one fix and that's to soak the gasket in hand hot water and then plunge in to ice water. Allow to dry and sometimes it will shrink them back to shape but there's no guarantee.

Tanks are only $4.35usd at FT now:

@FLICK The web site doesn't describe the tank as a boro or A tank. How do you know it's the boro?
It doesn't come with the Aspire bridge and the bottom hole is the same size as the top (although they mistakenly used an A-Tank stock photo for a Boro Tank here). Plus I only seen A-Tanks in black only. So if it is another color, it is probably a Boro tank.

charlie1465 do note there's clearly a RED + marked on those battery wraps. ;)
TrollDragon's one of the few that properly wraps it, orientation correct.
I've asked Albert if he wraps them backwards or puts them in backwards for the BB glamour shots. He says he puts them in upside down so the writing is correct for the picture. ;)

I have a couple, I can confirm they are the standard bb boro.... They were the only ones they had originally, they've since added the "A", the white, and the clear...

I have this link bookmarked so I can easily check for new BB bits every now and then:
