Has anybody else noticed inaccurate and fluctuating resistance readings on the Bantam? My current build reads 0.98 Ohms on a dna 60 BB but is anywhere between 1.1 and 1.3 Ohms on the Bantam. Every time I press the fire button it gives a slightly different reading. It reminds me of the board in the 70W SXK BB but even more flighty. Sometimes it's giving a "check atomizer" fault too. I've cleaned the contacts with Deoxit but that hasn't made a noticeable difference.
With a verified .7 build, mine would jump between .7 and 1.4 and everything in between. Sent a video to FT, they sent a replacement.

Guys, do the original Boros fit the SXK Billet? I am pretty sure I have minor leaks through the gasket and there is some juice finding it's way between the 510 adapter and my drip tip. Using the clone Xeta, but I might get the authentic and an authentic boro if it's the device fault. No dry hits or anything else whatsoever, rebuilt it around 15 times so far, always the same result.

Good morning and Thanksgiving:) I read through about the first half of this thread following links et al, whew! I was fortunate to have a SXK BB bestowed upon me by a friend. It's the 70W and I believe it's one of the first batches but not certain. It does not have a USB port. I've been using it and enjoying it very much with little trouble and wanted to know more. I've heard there is a Doggystyle RBA for it, as well?

My only question at this point is that I was using the Exocet and liking it. Now I'm having a problem with it reading low resistance when it should be around 0.4 ohms. Is that too low for the BB? I read about the resistance fluctuating due to the negative 510 connection on top. Maybe I should give the threads on that and the box a good cleaning? For now I'm using the Kanger RBA and it seems to be holding steady at 1.08 ohms. Many thx in advance and hope to hear from you after the turkey:).

ETA: Where do I buy DT with key to remove the neg. 510 connection?

I have seen that Doggystyle mentioned before, but i haven't seen it listed as available anywhere,i'm guessing it's probably out of production, but i could be wrong.
On the fluctuating,i would try cleaning the threads at the top,and the pin that sits below the tank.It could also be that a tiny bit of juice may have gotten on the board.I had that happen with my 70 watt,it started jumping around, then a few days later i started getting low battery messages with a full battery, then it started to auto fire.I pulled the back cover off,and there was 1 very tiny, almost microscopic drop of juice on the board, and that's all it took to make it go haywire.I used a cotton swab and rubbing alcohol to clean the board, then pushed the pin up a bit and sealed around it with silicone, and now it works perfect every time.I would try just cleaning all the connections first though.
.4 ohms should be fine, that's around where i have all mine setup with no issues.
On a threaded drip tip,the only one i have seen mentioned as fitting the clones is JMK Tips, they are very nice too.

I've got both authentic and clones and the boros are fully interchangeable. The only difference I've noticed is a slightly more textured feel to the material on the authentic boros. Maybe you are having issues with the O rings. Try changing them if you have spares and if not you might want to buy some replacement clone boros and parts from FT or 3fvape. Can't hurt

Thx for the tips. I was thinking of sealing up the board but I might want to wait on that and see what happens. Won't be the first.

I should add that I am getting odd fluctuations even with the Kanger RBA. In wattage mode the resistance will sometimes fluctuate down the warmer the coil gets! I've never seen this happen on any of my mods.
I'm probably totally wrong about this, but it's the only thing I can think of. Metal expands when heated. Maybe the posts aren't tight enough and the expanding metal is making them tighter as they heat up increasing the pressure between the wire and the posts?

I really like these, I only use flat tips and there's not many cheapies around, these would be the best I've come across I think:

They sit up a bit but they're a fairly firm fit, better than all the other cheap flat tips I've been using over the last decade.... Considering they're only $1.75usd I might take to one with a dremel and see if I can hollow it out to be a snug fit over the key/nut...

Or, stick a proper size screw through it, long enough to protrude, with a couple small washers and a nut, put the screw in the dremel, and take it down like that.

Or just grab a Billet Box flush 510 adapter, I have a Novaboxco on mine.
