This is an 8 wrap SS316L 2mm id 30 GA coil coming in at 1.01 ohms. I am experimenting with a higher ohm coil to try to match my lower amp batteries on my lost vape Coral dna 60. They only take 18500's. My usual build is 7 wraps of 28 GA SS316L around a 2 mm id coil coming in at 0.58 ohms.

All these builds are making me feel terrible about myself. LOL.
Fortunately I ordered from FT. I should have time to collect myself. As long as I don't lose my special screwdriver...

I do similar just with a 7 wrap @ about .80Ωon my TC's, and 1.3 - 1.5Ω using Kanthal on my 18500 non TC's.
I get a 2.5mm clapton coil in both of my doggies, it is tight, but it works
Was time to do a new coil for the doggie, so took some pictures, 2.5mm clapton coil squeezed in
Haha. Not the best, but not bad. I need to hold up to a light source and look down the coil like I was aiming a gun...lol. Only way to see the 0.5mm clearance (if that).
That's odd - I use 28ga 316L, and 8 wraps consistently gives me +-0.63ohm...but that's on my mod, not an ohm meter, or DNA. Just the Wismec P80, so maybe it reads a little different.
How many hits, or how much juice are you going thru per charge on the Coral with it's 18500? Love the small mods, and that one is tempting, with a low price and DNA, but wondering how it's performing for you?

Was wondering, Shane, how much of a difference clapton makes in this atty? I've never tried clapton myself, but I'm curious since dropping to 2mm from 2.5mm actually made me like it more. Have you tried non-claptons and a smaller coil to compare the difference in vape? I guess many say the additional surface area gives more flavor, but just curious.
You are about right at 0.63 ohms,i said seven wraps not eight for the 28 ga build. I absolutely love the mod,i have just ordered another one for back up since they are being discontinued. The battery has really surprised me, two nights use around 11 hours and still going.That will be about two tanks or around 6 ml. I would say if you order one get the SS version, the black is prone to fire button sticking like the black Epetite or Esquare. Not autofiring but not clicking back out. The SS version is fine.The SS version is getting hard to find,the first one i got for $51 shipped on sale.The second one was $87 shipped. I have a link if you need it.
Like all things vape, these are matters of opinion. I'm running a bunch with 3.0's, and they're marvelous (for me). Easy to wick too. I like "easy".
Why can't it look that big and clear in real life. Not even with magnification. Magnification makes it no longer invisible/fuzzy. But, still hard to see in real life.
I wish I can use just regular reading glasses to build. I always use those mag glasses like the jewelers use, they even have lights on the side, but don't use those.

I Imagen if your coil is a bit higher from hole, 3mm works fine, funny thing though, I just have never used anything over 2.7 in any rta I own or owned. I'm sure they run great, and may give one a try eventually, but I guess I'm just to use to smaller ID's. Not all that long ago the norm was 1.6 ish, so i have been slowly creeping bigger and bigger. I guess with me and rayon, as you get upwards of 2.7, you really have to start thinning tailsLike all things vape, these are matters of opinion. Don't use clapton in my MTL tanks.. discovered long ago that I don't like it...at all.
All 316L is not created equal. Depends on the specific manufacturer. Some actually list the ohms per meter but many don't. Actual diameter of your wire may be slightly different. I use 28g 304ss because I bought a crapload of it on sale and 7 wraps 2mm come out to .67ohms on my P80. Reads nearly the same on other mods I have. I never found 2 mods that read exactly the same every time. Even the same mod may show a slight variance if you take the tank out and reinsert it on the same mod.
