I found the PC tanks fit the SXK fine but not the SJMY version. Something to bear in mind if you are ordering the SJMY. For some bizarre reason the acrylic fits both versions fine.

This post is from a few weeks ago Dubminer, but I don't think it's been addressed yet, at least not that I could see. I'm sure you've moved past this by now, but it might help someone else :)

I have a few SJMY Doggies and prefer the clear PC tanks. I found the issue for fit is the hole at the top of the PC tank. I made a small chamfer on the corner of that hole, on the side closest to the deck. After that the O-ring seats properly and I have not had any issues in the months since. The tank threads fit just fine as they are.

I used a 3/8 dia drill bit I have with modified 45 degree bottom cutting edges (instead of 60 deg) to scrape out the chamfer, holding the drill bit by hand. If I didn't have that drill bit I would have used a 45 deg stone wheel in a Dremel. If someone is comfortable with a Dremel I think this would be easier than the drill bit method. I think an unmodified drill bit would work too, but 45 deg just seems a bit better to me.

Another solution if you like the SJMY over the SXK might be to swop out the SXK air flow pin with the SJMY version giving you a airier SXK.

Had been vaping the doggy with the vandyvape superfine ni80 at 20w for about 2 weeks now. A few days ago, I tossed a kanthal, 28g, 2mm ID, 8 wraps, 1.2 ohm coil vaping @13w. Getting pretty damn good flavor, and using WAY less juice and battery. SOHO is pretty crazy in this setup, and my battery went to 75% vaping all day.

I thought about putting some VV Superfine Clapton in one of my Doggies but the plastic tank made me think it was a bad idea. Too much heat. Maybe I'm just a coward?

I'm wondering why you would think it would be too hot Chodi. That wire can be set up to run just fine at lower watts. It's actually designed for that :)

I acknowledged I'm a coward. Might work just fine. I have it in a Hurricane 1.3 which has a plastic tank but a very different arrangement. I doubt you could get enough turns in the Doggy to get it to 1 ohm. I might try it at some point. I have had success with it in a variety of rta's but it does not seem to play nice with the Siren V2 or the Ares. Every other tank I've tried it with works fine. Maybe it does not like those raised decks? Maybe its just me.

Resistance only matters if you're using a mech mod or a limited VV mod. With any current VW or TC mod it's irrelevant. I find Steam Engine a very good aid for coil design to get the vape I want for a given wattage.

What mod(s) are you using?
I appreciate your trying to help but I have 14 mods (not all in use). I have mostly been using tc lately although I have a few rta's that don't play well with tc. I currently have the VV Superfine in a Kayfun Prime, Hurricane 1/3, Coppervape Skyline clone and a Kayfun V5. I am pretty up on using Steam Engine. I was just being cautious about the Doggy cause I have two in use with ss now and they work great in tc mode. One is on a Battlestar and the other on a P80. I have two dna 75 mods in use one with the Prime and the other with a Siren V2 both in tc.

Gotcha Chodi. If you do try the VV Superfine Clapton let us know how you like it. It's been a while since I've used thinner wire and I have some 30 and 36 gauge here that's been sitting around since I last tried claptons just waiting for a new lease on life :)

You shamed me into it. I used one of my SJMY Doggy cause it was handy and wound a 2mm VV Clapton Superfine ss coil. I left it slightly spaced. The best I could get in that tiny deck was a .51ohm coil. That was a very tight fit. I put it on my P80 mod and set to tc. I normally vape tc on doggies around 400F but this required me to drop it to 350F unless I wanted to melt the tank (and possibly my mouth). I cranked down the watts setting to only 12w (in tc). It produces a fantastic flavorful doggy vape. It is producing more vaper than I get with a simple round wire ss coil. I can say that it raises the flavor a bit but not dramatically. Most noticeable is the increased vapor. It is a warmer vape and I would not advise chain vaping on it as the tank starts to heat up.

I will probably go back to my ss round wire builds for the doggy in the future. The VV Superfine wire has done some amazing things for a few of my rta's but with the doggy it may be a little overkill at least for me.

My SJMY Doggy finally arrived today. I got some SS316L wire but didn't feel like messing with TC right away so I used a 28g kanthal, spaced coil, 7 or 8 wraps (idk which side to count from) coming out around 1.2 ohms. Been vaping it between 10-13 watts so far and it's pretty nice!

I get a big pop when I use it after it's been sitting for a bit. I imagine it's something with the wicking? I had this happen with my Ares too but I can't seem to figure out how to get rid of it.

Also noticed when I was twisting in the driptip that the dome inside the tank spun with it. I̶ ̶a̶s̶s̶u̶m̶e̶ ̶t̶h̶a̶t̶'̶s̶ ̶n̶o̶r̶m̶a̶l̶ ̶f̶o̶r̶ ̶t̶h̶i̶s̶ ̶y̶e̶a̶h̶?̶

Only have the sxk version and the top part would only spin if it's loose. If the sjmy is similiar then it shouldn't spin. You would need to tighten in the chimney , which tightens the top nut .
