1" will get you 6 wicks (or more)
I’m lucky to get two wicks from an inch of rayon, let alone six or more. But I think you meant 1’ and not 1” ;)

I just rebuilt my doggy today, and for a 2mm coil I used, well, actually, it was roughly a half thickness of just about a 1” length (maybe slightly over, before trimming) if I’m being completely honest.

Same here...I pre cut my rayon at about 1.5 inches and probably cut 30 of these sections at a time, I then strip in half lenght wise to get 2 wicks.

In any event with shipping it would cost me around $50 to experience rayon.
Well if it´s just for trying it out, me or anybody else could probably send you a normal letter with some rayon inside for a few bucks... if you don´t like it you´d probably be glad you didn´t spend the 50 dollars ;)
K.

Edit: I didn´t mean you´d have to pay a few bucks to the sender, I just meant normal p&p cost is just a few bucks for an international letter.

I appreciate your gracious offer since I am turning into something of a charity case on this subject we will see if others jump in. It was my intention to just give this a try before plunging for $50. I think a #10 envelope could hold quite a bit of rayon.

You don't have to spend $50.00 for Rayon, this is what's left after 3 1/2 yrs and 1/4 given away. This cost me $12.00 3 1/2 yrs ago.

The only thing missing from that photo is Stormy Daniels. That photo is mildly obscene. I love it! May I inquire as to your original source? Perhaps your dog ripped open the inside of your sofa and you saved the remains?

"Am I the only one who has problems trapping the coil legs in the deck screws? The Doggy has great flavor but what a pain to trap the legs compared to Prime or Siren 2"

Dimitri's build tool that came with the innokin Aires is perfect for installing 2.5mm ID coils in the Doggy and holding the coil absolute center while you pull tight and trap the legs. It fits so snuggly on the SXK Doggy deck you could be forgiven for thinking it was specifically machined for the Doggy, I have had no issues securing legs since I discovered this match. For me it was the only positive thing to come out of my Aires purchase really.

Try it if you have one and you'll see what I mean :)

I use 26g in the dogs and find it no different to any of my other rtas, including the prime, So no issues for me. Perhaps your screws are a little rounded on the bottom and perhaps not as flat as most?

I would send you some, no problem. You in the states? Or do I remember you being from england? If so, it wouldn't cost me more then a few bucks anyways

He's in Asia - that's why he doesn't just buy on ebay or Amazon himself, and said it'd cost him $50 with shipping. Don't know what a letter size envelope costs to get there, but I'd be glad to do it myself, especially since I rarely use it. I got the 40' box, and still have plenty after sending out some for others to try, and using a few inches myself.

But wow, vap & bwh- the batch of rayon I got must be a lot thicker than others. No way I could get half a width thru there. I just now split a length 2x, and rewicked with 1/4 of the total thickness on a 2.5 ID coil a min. ago. I was trying 2.5mm on a Kayfun Lite+ I just got. Even with rolling/twisting/pulling/threading it thru and holding coil with thumbnail, it's a struggle to get even that much in. So yeah, I usually can get about 6 wicks per 1-1.5" for my usual 2mm coils. And I run it pretty tight when I use rayon.
I even smoothed the edges before taking this pic - it looked even bigger.

You know it could be because my box of rayon was reinforced. When I purchased it a couple years ago from sallys, that's all they had. It's only a thin ribbon of something running parallel thru the strand, but once removed it pulls away some of the rayon, so I definitely loose some. I also strip alot of the loose strands away, so I'm sure I loose about 1/4 of the width of strand. I do waste alot as well, because I strip alot of the crooked fibers away. It also looks like I stuff a bit more thru my coil then you do, I tried less but at 23 watts in my dogs, it seems to work a bit better with a bit more

So far so good on the rayon wick. I believe it’s working as intended, first attempt in the doggy and the berserker rda.

Man, I really crammed it in the coil, and trimmed the tails a bit. I can monitor it on the berserker easily, and the coil appears to be staying a bit cleaner so far. We shall see!

The rayon purchased from amazon was perfect for cutting an inch, and splitting it in half for 2 wicks.
