With the dna don't you have to remove the board yourself? Never happen on an SX I think they locktite the screws.

Nope you may or may not be required to send just the board to Evolv. There is a HUGE difference between Evolv and Yihi's SX class warranty. Yihi manufacturers the board and the SX devices. They should warranty both. I see nowhere on any Yihi site where you can even read their warranty. Evolv makes no devices but only provides boards to those building the devices. Their warranty covers their product, which is only the board, and they honor their warranty. They stand behind their warranty, plainly post it on their web site, and go beyond their warranty sometimes to help the customer. Apples to Oranges...... I'm not bashing Yihi or praising Evolv BUT I am stating the plain facts....

Real life example (not praising or bashing, just stating facts):
I have purchased many, many devices in over 5 years from various companies and some have been dna devices, most of which were on sale or discounted by the vendor and the warranty was/is always honored by Evolv.

I also purchased a new ML on sale. I e-mailed Yihi the day I received the ML to verify the warranty and was told that it would not be covered by the warranty because I only paid 99 bucks for it... The ML found a new home a week-or-so later as it wasn't my "cup-of-tea" but my e-mail to Yihi, and their answer, cemented my choice as a consumer to never buy a Yihi product again until they change their business model.

I hear ya if it wasn't for Perry at Varitube I would have probably gone DNA also but as long as the warranty is good he will replace it. Other places aren't like that but it is right that you pay full price for things unless he gets the ok to sell a little cheaper like the ML now is 179.95. A lot of places are still selling them for 199.95. He has a pretty close relationship with YiHi and is usually the first to have new things like the side panels for the Q.

Perry sounds like a stand-up guy... always good news when a vendor will do the right thing...

lol sorry, guess I didnt edit that properly. Did find a sleeve last week and have received it but have since looked at Varitube's page, just now and should have purchased it there. In any event, was looking for after market battery caps and found one there I needed. Might pick up an M one as well but really needed one for the ML. Just picked that up after the Q. Thought the battery cap was poor on the M but worse on the ML. Have to really fight with it to get it to go in properly. Worried I might strip threads, so wanted a proper one. Just picked it up at his spot..

What kind of sleeve did you find? Do you have a link to it?

Shame actually, as they would likely help those that have clicky door problems :(

I did hear of one solution you might be interested in. I remember you wanted a sleeve because you felt the Q was too slippery. Perry at Varitube said he would do custom engraving on the panels. That would make it less slippery.

Really?
Hmmm, now that might be an interesting idea! It isn't so much that it is slippery but I have small hands so the extra grip would provide a sense of stability.
I shall have to look into this - see what the engraving entails, design wise, practicality, etc.
But was already thinking of buying an extra set of doors, JUST in case I needed them later and were sold out.

Thanks, will check that out.

You must have been praying to the vape gods because your prayers have been answered. :)

Perfect!!!! Just saw this. Just paid for it. I am not in the US so it will take about 10 days to reach me. A bit expensive with shipping but if I didnt buy it now in black, I knew i might regret it when they were all gone.

Will post once i get it, in case no one else has, to let you all know if it is any good or not.

Thanks again!!
