Well, they haven't even had their Grand Opening yet, but I stopped into Synergy Vapor Labs' retail location here in Tempe, AZ this morning and picked up a 10ml bottle of their LY4 -- the 'L' because it's from their Lush line of juices -- in 24mg strength. This will be both a review of LY4 and a preview of their retail store "end user experience." I had never tried an RY4 inspired juice before, other than perhaps Halo's Tribeca -- so Tribeca is the only thing I have to compare LY4 to.

I'm going to do this on an NVTF basis: Nose, Vapor, Throat hit, Flavor. I know that VTF is more common, but some vapes produce a detectable scent, and LY4 is one of those.

Nose: Light tobacco with a strong caramel topnote. This isn't a flavor for stealthing; people will smell it. Will they complain about what they smell? That's going to depend on the environment and the kind of people it attracts. To me, it smells absolutely delicious. But again, you will not have an easy time stealth vaping with LY4.

Vapor: One word: Prodigious. Running this juice through a low-res carto on an 808 battery, vapor is 1 1/2 to 2x as thick and voluminous as I got from Tribeca. Dripping it into a low-res atty on an eGo, as I did when sampling it in the store, it was like exhaling the output of a steamworks. This is likely owing to Synergy Vapor using a 50/50 PG/VG blend compared to Halo's (speculating here) 90/10 or 80/20 blend.

Throat hit: This juice has a very solid, very satisfying throat hit on my 808. Off the eGo, it was more like a throat kick. If throat hit is important to you, this juice will not leave you anything less than perfectly satisfied.

Flavor: This is where I have to express just the slightest shade of disappointment, and I can't really say that the fault lies with the juice. From my 808, the flavor is good -- this is a very tasty juice -- but muted somehow. On the other hand, the eGo shined it up clean, rich and bright.

Now a word about the store: The gent who runs the place is friendly and extremely knowledgeable. The store, overall, exuded warmth, friendliness and convenience. It's still noticeably early days for the storefront, but I can see exactly how it's going to develop into a cozy little place where East Valley vapers will gather to lay in vaping supplies, sample Synergy's latest and just generally relax for a bit while chatting with friends. I definitely aim to find myself back in there in the very near future to pick up an eGo passthrough, an atty/drip-tip for dripping, and possibly a clearo or tank as well.
