So I just picked up my very first VV eGo Twist and I'm really happy with it. Now as a relative noob I've only used cartomizers up to this point and this is the first time using a tank and coil setup.

Naturally I have questions
1. How long does the coil last
2. Do I just clean the tanks and replace the coil only
3 Can I use different juices with the same coil only cleaning the tank
4. Have I missed anything important

Help as always is appreciated.

1. I'm rotating between a few T2s and Vivi Nova's and I've yet to replace a T2 coil, I would guess they last at least a couple of weeks.
2. You can clean the tank and coil/wick. I find it works best if you just leave it overnight to dry, but you can pat down the wicks gently with paper towel.
3. You can keep using the same coil, but if you don't clean it in between different juices, you'll be mixing juices a tiny bit.

I rinse out my T2 tanks with warm/hot filtered water because I live in an area with really hard water then I dry burn the coil.

I learned an interesting lesson yesterday. Don't move the wick around too much when you clean it. I managed to lift the wick enough that the coil of wire doesn't go down the little hole anymore and it can't make an electrical connection. Oh well, T2 heads are cheap.

I just rinse with water and then dry burn....I just did a little vid today on the subject, although I was using a vivi head as and example...Real Reviews: How I dry burn my Vivi heads - YouTube

Also I rewicked a T2 head, I still have to snip the wire up in there, need to get myself a tiny pair of snips, but it should work well :)

At $1 - $1.50 a head, it's much easier/cheaper to replace them. Depends on how much money your time's worth really.

edit: I bought a box of Kangers over a month ago, and none of the heads have died yet, I've been rotating 2 for weeks. I also have no replacement heads until my healthcabin order gets here, so I'm hoping they don't die for another couple of weeks :) .. They seems to last longer than Stardusts.

I clean my coils every 3 days or 3 fills, rinse the coil in hot water, pull the rubber sleeve off and metal top thing, soak in some vodka or pure alcohol for an hr or so, rinse off again and i like to use a hair dryer on low heat. When you rinse make sure the water isn't running hard, otherwise you'll ruin the wick. By doing this i get 3 weeks easy off each, works almost like new when i do this. Do a few dry burns and your golden. As for the tank and mouth piece use warm water to clean otherwise you'll unglue some things and it'll fall apart. What i do when switching juices is make sure most of the current juice is gone then refill, Ive never tasted the old for more then a few vapes. Unless its a menthol type, make sure if you vape menthol type juices to leave that setup strictly for those types of juice, no matter how you clean it you'll taste it. Ive only used the T2 kangers so far since starting and love them, I want to get into rebuilding but these are a pain, may switch to the Vivi's for this. Good luck, any questions feel free to PM me.
