I was in Chattanooga passing through. I found a great vape store, mountain oak vapors. I decided to try a few of their flavors and being a die hard PT fan, got some t3 tanks for each flavor. About halfway through the first tank, it began to taste like burnt plastic. I'm running 2.2 heads at 4.2v on an MVP.

Yeah. I know, there's a reason why there $5 but is normal?

The kanger t3, t3s, evods, and pro tanks have a common problem. That rubber grommet where the legs are tend to get burnt if your coils are running too hot. That might be the cause of the plastic taste.

I hear that the new heads come with non reisstance wire for the legs and the grommets are now made of sillicone. I don't know if that's true or not as I've not bought a new kanger head for a long time.

Check this thread for an alternative to the kanger grommet.

Anytime I've taken a T3 above 7W (and you're at 8), I get a burnt taste. Nudge it down.

This is why I am giving Carto Tanks a trial run for the past week. Bought them from a B&M inside a pharmacy for too much money but was getting ready to go back out on the road the next day and they were the only place open the day after Thanksgiving. Clerk said they are pyrex DCT tanks about 5 ml. Flavor is a bit muted at first but can vape without burning my juice. Thinking now that I need to try some IBTanked cartos.
