I was sold this tank (?) today to use w my old eGo batteries.
The vapor production is weak & it's SO harsh!
What am I doing wrong?

I tried it w my sister's Aspire battery & it was much nicer...cooler, easier draw & tons of vapor.
Hers seems more 'airy' if you know what I mean.
Could a different battery really change things that much, or is it all in my head?

Ok if you have tried 4 of them then I think it's safe to say that it's not the Ego! I need to give this some research as I have never used the T3S tank before. If it feels better on you sister's Aspire then it may just be a compatibility issue between the tank and the battery. Perhaps try get an exchange from the shop that you bought the tank on before you rush out and buy a new battery. Maybe take your battery with you to the store and try a few tanks if they allow you to

Indeed! It has grown quite a bit! There are so many cool toys available, more toys than money in my case!! If you happen to make the store before someone can sort you out I strongly suggest trying out other tanks. Or if you can't get an exchange and have some basic drilling skills, try drill the air holes in your tank a bit bigger, this will increase the airflow and maybe improve the hit. But again, this will officially void any chance of exchange.

I've found the vivv nova 2 to be really nice, many will disagree though. There are mixed reactions about the Protank 3 mini, I've heard that it's great, others say it tends to leak and gurgle. The iClear series are good in my opinion too. I like the kanger range of tanks that I have used, the Evod worked great for me. What I would do is go to an online store and see the different tanks and different customer reviews, then you can get a clear idea of what is available in the USA. You may have a bigger selection than I do in Ireland, or vice versa.

Hi Ind1. Sorry this is happening to you. I use Kanger MT3S's and both eGo-t upgraded batteries and Vision Spinner batteries and they all work well for me. Not sure what the the issue is. I do know that airflow is important, so I always be sure I am not tightening the clearo onto the battery too tightly. Since you've used the clearo on your sister's battery and it works fine, it shouldn't be clogged air holes on the side of the base of the clearo. Hmmm. I know batteries can make a difference, but the combination you are using should work fine. And if you are tasting a difference, it is not just in your head. Especially since you have tried other batteries that you have and still get the same harsh hit and very little vapor. I'm at a loss, so hope some other more experienced folks have some suggestions. I would try another MT3S clearo on your existing battery and then also try a different type of clearo on your battery. Kind of continuation of the process of elimination that you are already doing.

I hope you find the answer because I sure have been enjoying my vape using the MT3S and either the eGo-t upgraded battery and Vision Spinner.

I'd open the head and peak inside.

What ohm is it?

What pg/vg ratio are you using?

Pop the stem off and see if they put in too many flavor wicks causing it to clog up both the air flow and preventing enough juice from reaching the coil (Is it 'harsh' or burnt tasting?). It should have a coil and 1 flavor wick on top, if it's not either of those i'm not sure what else it could be.
