because i'm still fiddling and waiting for the all ss deck which should finally be at my post office today! usps insisted it had to make a stop-over in oshkosh on its way from la to virginia!

If possible let us know all is good with the deck, it gives me some hope after 2 months, I ordered another TFT not from FT but I won't see that for a while.

Did anyone order the TFT from FocaleCig?

My guess would be the issue might actually be the zmax

9.9Ω = TGT screw not touching the center pin in the zmax

working = TGT screw touching the center pin in the zmax just right

low load = TGT screw pushing down the center pin in the zmax and its shorting somewhere

For my problem, I agree I think it has to do with the ZMAX, but it's connector is fixed position, so what could be the issue? It's taken every other atty I've thrown at it with 0 issues and 0 adjustment to centre-pins. Protanks, EVODS, IGO-L, all fired without issue...


That tank flipping trick is neat, because I agree, the only "con" for the TGT is threading the plastic tank to the deck...I was just top-filling (ie, unscrew the part holding the drip tip), and filling it to just before it would flood the coil. Obv, this way only allows for about 30-40% of the amount of liquid, but super easy to add more.

I may flip the tank and fill "properly" now.

for the life of me i can not get either the real or the clone GT to play nice with my semovar either, crazy readings, intermittent firing and error codes. yet will work flawlessly on my kicked nemi, poldiac and provari. spent hours with a multi meter and thought i may be going crazy.

Some attys just don't play well with some mods, I'm finding. OT, I know, but my Maraxus clone didn't like the Bliss clone. It might just be because there is really good conductivity with the Maraxus, but it kept giving me dry hits. And I kept getting weak, anemic performance from one of my RSSTs on my Sigelei 8W. Switched them around, and all's good.

510 connections typically have a soft silicone/other insulator isolating the center pin from the rest of the connector. Too much pressure can cause the isolator to deform and allow the center pin to touch the housing.

I had an larger order in house at the time, and I paid the extra for Speedpost Global Express. It shipped 1/2/14, and I received it 1/7/14. It flew through customs and got to me real quick. Was a little pricey for shipping just one or two items, but if you have a bunch of stuff definitely the way to ship!

lol....unless your me and the only order I tried using Speedpost Global Express got rejected at customs and sent back to FT who then reshipped it via Malaysia air. The original ship date was 12/13/13 and it just found US land (again) yesterday 1/8/14 ....hoping it makes it thru customs this time.

Oh well its the risk you take. I have never had a problem with Speedpost Global Express when I have used it before from other Chinese vendors, so I'm just chalking it up to bad luck.

Not very far....but keep going just to be sure

I could tell by the color on my FT TGT.....does the color match the rest of the base?

i don't think my camera is good enough to show the difference. i gladly give it a try tomorrow. maybe i stand a chance in good daylight/sunlight tomorrow. i should have remembered gdeal's pic showing the deck plate much more 'silvery' than the rest of the deck. and when i took a closer look just now i can see some unevenness in the finish where the chrome must have been sprayed on while deck 2 has a matte, very even look.

Ouch not good news I was going to use it on a Semo With just the base attached and the coil setup does it read and fire ok? Any other Semo issues?, better hold off selling all my devices .......

Kind of off topic but did anybody get a replacement Kayfun 3.1 clone atty instead of just the new ss parts?

I got kind of excited when I first saw this thinking they were sending 2 complete TGT's and 2 ss bases (then I noticed the 2 TGT's were cancelled), but it does look like they are sending a complete ss 3.1 clone???
