Hey thanks for the link for the tanks! And I love the idea that you posted Tibs of switching the metal and plastic to save where and tear!! But... That will work for me, but I just turned my wife onto one and I need her to see the juice by the holes. If she doesn't, she will not stop vaping until she gets that nasty burning cotton taste.

I just ordered 2 of the xs tanks for my Taifuns. I hadn't been on the smokerstore site for a while, so I wasn't aware of them. I love my Taifuns, but they sure are big. These will make them more 'travel friendly'.

please post pics of some taifun gs and taifun gt with full metal or full clear tanks- i would love to see pics before i buy the gs and spare tanks....

I thinks for the original Taifun, which iirc is more similar to the GS than the GT. I don't think it will work with the GT.
I wish the base was 17mm (which I might make happen). I like the GS (still haven't tried it in a spheroid setup), like the GT the GS gives a lot of setup options. But I haven't got it to vape quite as good as a GT.
It was 67.04€, which comes out to $91.59 USD. But my order also included an o ring kit.

so - for the average person - unless he's named bap, etc - there is no way of knowing if it's a clone or the real thing. and, putting them in the classies even properly marked as clones, will not prevent the buyer to turn around and sell them as originals. ecf does not want to add to this mess so the replicas are out ................

While I understand wanting to help people not get taken advantage of, I also think ECF is trying to stand on principle. Which is fine, but ECF's stance isn't going to stop the clones being made or crooks trying to sell them as authentic.
I doesn't make a ton of sense to me why the clone manufactures try so hard to copy the originals down to the markings, the box, etc. They aren't charging authentic price for their product, and I don't see having their own markings effecting their sales.

they are easy enough to get if you want them, as we know but it definitely stopped me from considering an original unless i'm buying it from a reputable vendor. and even that won't always be a guarantee ........... sigh

Counterfeiting has been a part of Chinese industry for years, what with handbags, sneakers, golf clubs, wrist watches, etc. The growing e-cig industry has just presented another counterfeiting opportunity for them. It shouldn't be a surprise, really. I dislike it, won't participate in it, and am in full support of ECF's position. What I do, or what ECF does, won't change a thing. There's apparently a huge market for the stuff. Six months ago, people were getting out of bed, and sitting in front of their computers, at unGodly hours, pounding on the F5 key, in order to get in under the wire for the latest release of some high end mod or atty, or else paying mod flippers multiple amounts over retail, to acquire some 'unicorn'. Nowadays, some of these same folks are jumping on every clone that comes out, meanwhile ridiculing folks for spending $200-$300 on 'just a battery tube', because the counterfeit is 'just as good'. I don't get it. But it is what it is, I guess.
I buy both authentic (when I feel I'm not being overcharged) and clones, as well as build my own stuff. I don't disagree with ECF's position at all.
I feel it's truly a shame to the originators who offer their stuff at a fair price, but not to the others who have been taking advantage of the consumers with huge profit margins, limited runs, and etc.
Because I know what it would cost me to make something similar, I can justify to myself which manufactures I respect and which I don't.
That said I have an authentic Taifun GT and be right there hitting F5 if and when the new version is released.

And what do they mean by cotton tank? The clear tank is somewhat sorry looking when used like a Spheroid.
