Just curious how many people removed the center post and grommet? I just removed mine and the air draw is pretty much perfect now was too tight with it in there for me.

Sent from my SCH-I545 using Xparent Skyblue Tapatalk 2

I removed mine and drilled the air hole out probably a little to big lol.

The draw on mine is something feirce now and I love it.

I removed the tube from a few of mine, but not the grommet it fits into.
I like it either way.
I keep trying (and re-trying) other rebuildables of this type and keep coming back to the Taifun GT. I do have a couple KFL clones that I've got working great now, but I don't like them "more" than the GT.

The V4 Fogger is great for when I want a loose draw and big clouds. Same for the Flash-e clone. As for the Squape, I really REALLY want to like it but the airflow on that SOB is waaaay too tight and I don't think I can drill out the intake holes in the 510 without breaking it. But, that's more of a clone-specific/QC issue and I don't mean to detract from the real Squape, and especially not the Squape Reloaded. (I've actually started putting away cash for a real Sq[R]).....shuuush, don't tell my clones! ;)

It's the little tube sticking up in the center of the base between the posts where you attach the coil. As I understand it the one it comes with is 1.2 mm id and a 1 mm and 1.5 mm are available, this is how the air flow can be adjusted. With the original this atty had the best flavor I've ever seen but the draw was too tight for my liking. With the tube left out the draw was where I liked but that good flavor disappeared so with the help from the air tube from a CE2 (maybe 3) I put in a 1.5 mm ID tube that I cut down and now I have a happy medium.

This was my post concerning the removal of the draw tube when I bought my first one last December.
The originals come with a 1.2 mm tube and the clones generally ship with a 1.5 mm installed.

While I'm thinking about it (and before the power goes out), is it kosher to remove the same tube from the GS?

Judging by the way the GS soaks up juice from the bottom of the deck, as compared to the GT soaking up juice from outside the chimney, my opinion would be no.

But if you try it, keep us posted.

I finally gave in and ordered one from ebay last night... HCigar clone, and I got a nano kit. I watched a bunch of video tutorials and it does look like it might be easier to build than a Kayfun, I guess my only gripe would be the 23mm size. Where does one get the SS nano top cap? The acrylic cap looks kinda cheap but I would prefer the smaller capacity as I like to change juice a lot.

I've not successfully put a vertical coil in any of my TGT, but I DID think to take some photos of the latest clone I got from angelcigs. Got another one with the narrow wick slots so I "fixed" this one too. I wish they'd go back to the older design. Every time I do this I think I'm gonna bugger up the threading. But, two tanks down, and no issues.

I got mine from White Fog: GT / XS Tank Kit (Taifun GT) - White Fog Ltd - E-Cigarette Shop UK - Best E-Cig & Liquids, and the dripper:

The Dripper (Taifun GT) - White Fog Ltd - E-Cigarette Shop UK - Best E-Cig & Liquids

They are considerably more expensive than from FT, but that's not news. Also, SmokerStore carries them:

Taifun GT / XS Tank Kit - SmokerStore GmbH - Ihr Spezialist für e-Zigaretten und Zubehör in NRW

I have two authentic mini tanks with SS top caps, and they are quite nice. I recently ordered 7 mini tanks and 7 full tanks from FT, and they were quite inexpensive. Should be here in a couple of weeks, I guess. The FT clones of the GT are an excellent deal, as another member mentioned:

$22.42 Taifun GT Style Rebuildable Atomizer (5.0mL) at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

The Fasttech nano/dripper is remarkably inexpensive: $6.04 Taifun GT Nano Kit - stainless steel at FastTech - Worldwide Free Shipping

Hope this helps. All I vape is the GT and often test juices with the dripper. Excellent devices on a par with the KF's, perhaps slightly easier and more flexible. Both very good RTA's. Good luck!
