my 6v magnum mod crapped out on me, my 5v box mod crapped out on me, and I got some new TI8100 boards right, MY vv was always warm so I said I would take it apart and rebuild......I built a new board and I got voltage going but no voltage out. I have checked all soldering, tested all for continuity, I was very gentle while soldering, so I am positive that I didnt overheat any components. I am so aggravated right now........I just might order an infinity, I would get the provari but holy overpriced. I will continue to mod, just pretty frustrated. I have built all of the mods above and had no issues at all, until I will start making new mods and then steal switches, or the case, or batty connector...........grrrr

I had a similar problem today when building my 5v 3xAA box mod. I had already built my 5v blue lightning tube mod with no problems, it was my first attempt at building a mod and I had to solder everything directly onto the regulator because a pcb just won't fit in the tube, I was barely able to cram in the regulator and an LED. So after building it I hook it up to my voltage tester I held my breath and pushed the button... worked perfect, registered at exactly 5v. Relieved, I began building the box mod, I expected this to be easy as the instructions are on Madvapes website and I had plenty of room to work. Soldered everything in, put everything in the box, popped in a fresh set of batteries and pushed the button... nothing. Well after almost 2 hours of triple checking everything I happened to be moving things around and grabbed the switch to move it to the side and in so doing grabbed both prongs thus completing the circuit... bingo. After checking my soldering, placement of the components, batteries and checking all the wires for shorts over and over again for nearly 2 hours, it was just a bad switch. And since I didn't have any other switches laying about I had to break that one apart and fix it then super glue it back together.

Yea I got mad and stopped working on the vv box, I pulled the switch from a working mod ( yea I got parts and mods apart everywhere now ), I didnt bypass it yet, if thats the prob I will be so mad but happy lol. I said the hell with it and bought an infinity, I hope its good. I havent seen any bad reviews on it. I have no store bought mods all mine I made so I figured I might as well buy one. I hope it works good.........But other than that its back to the work bench for repairs, I hope i dont get mad and smash'em.
