Hi All,

Im new to vaping , started early this month with no intentions of stopping analogue cigarettes, but I did and haven't been smoking for 2weeks! ENjoying the vape and the varieties of E-Liquids.

Started off with a joyetech Ego-T + Mini vivi Nova , and recently got a joyetech Evic + Vivinova 2.8ml :)

was just wondering if I can use the TangsFire 18350 1200mah battery on the Joyetech Evic?

Thanks! :)

The eVic uses a single battery and can 'boost' the delivered voltage above the voltage of the battery. To do this, more current is drawn from the battery and 'converted' to higher voltages. A typical "protected li-ion" battery cannot provide the currents (amps) needed to do this effectively; this is why IMR batteries are recommended, they can provide the required current.

Plus, I think, the eVic takes an 18650 battery not an 18350.

in short evic mode i only use aw or efest 18350 high drain.... batt life is short depending on volt/watt chosen...

the batt u mentioned, is it high drain? it should say on the label...

It works. All you need is a battery tube for it and an 18350 battery with PCB.

Here are pictures of my eVic:

eVic with the original battery tube and stubby battery tube.
(Pink = 18650 Samsung 2600mAh, green = 18650 Panasonic 3400mAh, red/black = 18350 TrustFire 1200mAh)
Not pictured is my OEM chrome battery tube with matching collar. I leave the batteries in the tubes and if I want to switch battery instead of charging, I just switch tubes. No more fiddling with the batteries and the tube's end cap.

TomCatt : Thanks for the reply and yup I forgot to mention that I was getting a short tube for the 18350

zhentipede : Thanks for the reply, Im not sure if its high drain. Its not written on the battery , but I ended up getting 2 of the UltraFire XSL 18350 (1200mAh) with Anyvape short tube. Battery life is shorter but it'll last me a day with 2 of em.

Seanzky : Thanks for the reply , nice setup btw :) I now charge my 18350 with the TrustFire TR001. Its charges pretty quick!

CaliGrower : Thanks for the reply , I got the Anyvape black short tube from a local supplier. Got it for RM35 (11USD) , there's also a local supplier selling TangFire 1500mA for RM50 a pair. But I'll most probably stick to my current batteries :D

Sorry for the late reply all , and thank you so much! Much appreciated :toast:

A 1200mAh 18350?

I don't believe that is physically possible for an ICR chemistry battery and it certainly isn't with IMR. Not with today's technology, anyway.

That means your battery may not have a chemistry suitable for use in a mod that's capable of putting a lot of stress on the cell.

I wouldn't use it until after I'd seen the spec sheet and reviewed a few bench tests on it.

They might be rebranded UltraFire batts. Had a couple UltraFire XSL18350 1200mAh included with my first PV. Really cheap batts and I tossed them within a month.

I always recommend vapers get the very best batteries and charger for their APV otherwise it's kinda like driving a Ferrari on bald no name tires.

You can indeed use an 18350 battery with the Evic as long as you have the short battery tube for it. As for the TangsFire battery, IMHO I would not touch that battery with a 10' pole. Not to mention simply HORRIBLE reviews on Amazon from people that have bought them, to the best of my knowledge there is no 18350 battery out there that is rated over 900mAh (and I am not too sure that is an accurate rating) so the best you are likely to find are 800mAh rated. Which if charged and cared for properly should last you for 7 to 9 hours on an Evic depending on your vaping habbits. Just make sure to go into your MVR program and tell your Evic what battery you are using for best results.

Only prob is they're low amperage so no good for an APV.

I've been running quite a few TangsFire 1500mah 18350's in my e-pipe, lasts a fairly good time, good recharge time, can notice the difference between these and the cheapo blue 18350 and the Kamry 18350's I have, they only have to run a DCT so not like its quad micro coils pulling the guts out of it either.

A lot of it too is about how some retailers know they can lump up the x's on stuff like named Japanese batteries and pull the pants down on prices, I actually went with Tangsfire simply because a mate of mine uses them in his worklamps and he's never had an issue with them, he doesn't have a choice really as they are given to him by his firm and he has to rotate them out in three months a time otherwise he would be rotating them out my way instead hehe
