Let me straight off ask you to be patient with a poor noob who has still to come to grips with all the technical jargon.

I've been thinking of getting an innokin ITASTE MVP 2.0. It does seem to be a large battery with many features included. The only thing I don't really like about it is that the tank that comes with the kit is not pyrex and does not seem to have adjustable airflow. So my question is - would a Kanger tank fit on the iTaste? If yes, which size would you recommend?

Thanks in advance for your responses and please try not to use too many acronyms and technical jargon so I can easily follow.

The MVP2.0 is compatible with pretty much any tank on the market in regards to whether it will fit. I have one, and I've never even used the tank that came with it. The two most common threading types for tanks is 510 and eGo and the MVP can handle either without the need for any kind of adapter or anything. And yes, Kanger tanks will fit on there. The bigger kanger tanks, like the Protank 2 and 3 and the EMOW Mega for instance (all good tanks) are of the 510 variety. The smaller kanger tanks, like the mini protank 2 and 3, and the regular sized EMOW's are of the eGo variety. Personally I have two EMOW Mega's, one regular EMOW, two Protank 2's and a mini protank 2. And all work great on the MVP. So I'd recommend any of those tanks. And here's a little explanation of the two thread types to give you an idea.

eGo vs. 510 Thread, what is the difference?

Innokin MVP v.2?

What about the newer version(s)?

The tank that comes with it is poor. I tried mine for a day then gave up.

The v.2 is a good mod, but frustratingly under-powered if you want to get into Nautilus BVC.

In all honesty, I can foresee a few issues with using Basic Kanger clearos and the MVP v.2. Basic Kangers cost too much with the replacement coils (they are also old/outdated) and should you decide to upgrade to a modern tank (BVC/GS Air/Subtank 1.2ohm) the 11w output of the MVP is not enough.

I sold my MVP as i.m.o. it couldn't run mini Nautilus BVC. It says "11 watts" but it's not really 11 watts...

I shall put on my flack jacket....

(PM me if you want me to elaborate)

Never realized that the MVP 2.0 is only 11 watts. Guess that shows that size isn't everything. If the OP decides to go up to the MVP 3.0, then you will get 30 watts. There are a ton of people who love the MVP and swear by it, but if size is an issue for you, I would recommend the iStick. Comparing the two side by side, the iStick 50 has 50 watts (versus 30), and while the width and thickness is comparable, the MVP 3.0 is nearly a full in taller. The size difference is even more glaring if the OP compares the MVP 3.0 with the iStick 30. It is the height of a tube of lipstick, and just maybe 50 percent wider.

I used my nautilus on my MVP for a while, but I felt it needed more power TBH. My iStick 20w powers it wonderfully though! Just my 2 cents.

ETA: The 30 or 50 watt iStick are about the same size as the 20 watt and would give you room to grow if you choose to in the future. I chose the 20w since I already have a 100w device as well as mechs, and I got a killer deal. With the 30 and 50 you could eventually get into drippers or sub-ohm tanks, or just killer battery life lol.
