Tank doesnt fire for 20min after each cleaning

So, twice today I have disassembled my aerotank and cleaned everything with warm water, doing my best to dry everything. Each time, the aerotank doesn't work for anywhere from 5 min to 20 min. First thought: coil still wet or something. But in the past when I've cleaned by evod, the coil was still damp I'm sure and it worked fine. This is getting a bit annoying, any ideas what this could be and how to prevent it next time?

PS: It's not the battery, multimeter shows correct voltage coming out of the battery. Not the center pin either, was working perfectly before cleaning and I didn't touch the battery at all. Also does not work on my other identical battery.

Edit: refastening the coil seems to work... maybe I just keep putting it in wrong.

Another question though (sorry!): even after letting the juice saturate the coils for 20 min, when I start vaping, it takes quite a few draws before the vapor output gets back to the thick clouds it usually is. The first 5 draws, barely anything comes out. The next 5, minimal. 10 more, its at the level of my evod. Takes a few more to get back to the original aerotank clouds...

the coil need to be filled with some e juice before you fix it to the tank base.

Are you dry burning the coil?? That's the only way to really clean the gunk out and will get all of that moisture out. Be sure to prime it good before firing it the first time after a dry burn.
