i got a provari v2 starter kit a couple weeks ago. It came with a kanger protank 2 which is bad:mad:. I cant even screw it down all the way to get a normal hit. Im constantly uscrewing it to get a good pull or screwing it tighter because its loose and probrably ruining the threads. Liquid often seems to come out of the bottom of the tank (where it screws in). Also sometimes it doesn't produce enough vapor to my taste. You would think they would give you one that works good when u spend 200 on a kit. Anyway what are my options for a good reliable tank? I'm looking for a glass tank that fits correctly on my provari. I want to be able to use a higher voltage somewhere between 4 and 5 and not burn out from using it nonstop. I don't want to spend a fortune but I wouldn't buy the cheapest option either. Thanks for the help.

You need to get an Aero Tank base for the Provari... without an extansive explanation, the airflow is an issue and the Aero base solves it... it works fine with the ProTank 2 or ProTank3... $6 from sun-vapes solves the problem... I had the SAME issue and this solved it... heres the link:

Many Provari users use carto tanks. I use them a lot. You can run a 3 ohm carto at 5 volts but is usually don't go above 4.5 with mine.

I also use the Aspire Vivi Noce BDC tanks. Inexpensive and a good Vape. Because of the double coils you can run them at 15 watts if you want. I still run mine in the 8 watt range.

Those are my 2 recommendations.

If you want to learn about carto tanks read Baditude's blog. He has written the Bible of carto tank info.

Congrats on your Provari

cool thanks for all the help everyone. I am going to get the tank base for now and see how that goes. I may get a carto in the future but I need to look a little more into them first. I will read baditude's blog.

What would my best bet on the atomizers though? I probably would like to pick a few of them at once. Are they specific to my tank or can i just get any? I liked the 2.4 ohm one that came with the protank better than the 1.8. Am i best just buying them from pro vape?

Methinks of the GP Spheroid when I see a Provari:

actually; doesn't provape usually offer z-atty or something like that with a provari?

yup:

The future of rebuildable tank systems is here with the new Z-Atty-Pro V2.1 Tank.
What's New in V2.1:

V2.1 now comes with a ceramic wick.
The logo is machine engraved on the top cap.

Custom made for the ProVari, this high quality tank is constructed of 316LVM Surgical Implant Grade stainless steel with a 4 ML Fused Quartz tank section. The glass quartz tank will not crack or shrink and can be used with any juice including cinnamon and menthol.

The rebuildable design allows you to install new wicks and wire coil after they wear out so you never have to worry about buying another atomizer or tank!
Your first wick and wire coil are already setup and its ready to use right away. Also included is one replacement ceramic wick, wire and the necessary tools to rebuild the atomizer when its worn out.

A lot of folks are raving about the Aspire Nauticus (or something like that) as being better than the ProTank.
But I'd also suggest delving into carto-tanks. I still USE ProTanks - and I have them working well - but I get more time, and more consistency from cartotanks. Plus, they're fun to collect. :)

ProVape has trouble with ProTanks, because the airholes aren't all in the same place, and I think the stem is different lengths too - cause I have one that screws down and vapes well, and I have another that won't, and gets air cut off.

The Aerotank base WILL fix airflow - and MIGHT screw down all the way...sounds like it's working for most people.
You can get both the airotank base, and coils for a ProTank, at Sun Vapers.

I'm in the same boat, got the Provari starter kit that came with the Protank 2. After using it for 2 weeks, I can tell you that it is a complete piece of crap. I've already replaced the coil heads 6 times, each one last me no more than 2 days. I've tried to do everything that people are saying online and nothing works. I've tried to tighten the screws, loosen the screws, blow air in and out, clean it multiple times, replaced various liquids thick and thin, aligned the coils to burn evenly, etc. Nothing works. It still leaks, or there is no airflow, or it doesn't produce any vapor, etc...

I have a Nautilus coming in tomorrow, hopefully that tank will give me a better experience. Otherwise I'm gonna try the IBTank.

My ProTank 2 didn't work with the Provari either -- no air issue. Did some fiddling by putting a shim between the device and the PV -- then had to fiddle with the positive contact. Ended up tossing it in my emergency box. I like my Vivi Nova 2.5 tank but it is plastic. I use mostly tank crackers so have an Aga T 2 for a tank for them but it requires you to build your own coils -- no big deal for me.
