I'd get a Minikin Reborn if it was better looking.
Yeah i prefer the rounder shape of the minikin 2 myself but that Reborn one looks kinda nice too (just not as ergonomic imo) i also love more the soft plastic feel of the minikin 2 tbh

I tried the minikin in stores before i bought my predator, didn't get it because of the price tag on it XD but for the little time i had with it i liked it alot, simple UI easy to use touchscreen and a very nice heft to it. It does have it's con like any other mod though, but no doubt i would've loved it more than i do the predator.

(biggest con i've noticed is mostly the fact you have to unlock it everytime you wanna change the settings but that's subjective, there's also some people who have issues unlocking it but seems it's a matter of finding "the right way" to do it.) Can't lie also, that purple one looked pretty freaking amazing imho :p

Thanks! I was starting to have a bit of cognitive dissonance about buying the Minikin. I bought the purple, BTW. I got the purple FreeMax FireLuke to top it off. I will post a pic when it gets here. I bought it domestically, so it should be a couple of days. I am going to lay off buying new things for a bit and concentrate on posting some of my extras and those I am not enjoying for whatever the reason items in the classifieds here. Maybe I can recoup some of what I spend due to a severe case of Shinyitus.

No worries :) imo you should like that purple (though the finish is a hit or miss, but i liked it gives you that grippy feeling)

Full disclaimer though: when i said i "tried"the mod i mostly meant i handled it and messed around with it,haven't actually vaped it as vaping inside even in a vape store is illegal over here -.-

I've decided buying a tank and then pairing it with a mod is way harder than the reverse, LOL. I like the look of the Minikin V2 quite a lot actually, it's a shame it doesn't do TC well, or I would have pulled the trigger immediately.

Why are all the DNA mods so *manly* looking, that's my main complaint, heh, I've looked at several and there are plenty where I like the features, just not the look of the mod. I may actually just buy the tank, inspect it in person, and then decide from there, that might be smarter. I do appreciate all the recommendations, and if I can't find something I like the look of after that, I'm just going to go by features and eat how (I think) the mod looks.... Also, the ones I kind of like seem only to be available in these weird colors, etc. There were a couple I could deal with, but I think I'm going to wait, play with the tank, and go from there. Surely there are some upcoming sales in a month or two, there's that, also. :)

Yep. And the idea of a "scary" mod is quite appealing.... Or, I could get my oral surgeon to print out my catscan skull and then make a wrap for a nice, simple black mod. :)

My skull is insanely ugly. I pointed it out to the dental hygienist, and she was like, "Oh, yeah, everyone hates how those look." Mine really looks terrifying especially with large chunks of titanium in it that look like *fangs* LOL.

Okay, I found a mod I like: YiHi SX Mini G Class Mod Kevlar Edition

Yes, I don't have expensive tastes or anything.... :)

Only, I don't think I will be paying that for a mod, but it's actually stunning looking. I think I'm getting somewhere, but that mod isn't it. OH, though I'd love the watch, man, I'm always wondering what time it is, that would be handy. Watches don't play well with me for some reason, I can't keep one working (cheap, expensive, it don't matter).

Okay that's on my list, with some major hesitance since it's even *less* necessary than the steampunk. Anyone have one, just in case? LOL.

Hey i've seen that mod on youtube the other day lol !
Reviewer didn't like the joystick much though XD, but the company (Yihi) makes other mods though, no idea if they're gonna catch your eyes but hey still a nice mod even if it's overpriced imo XD

It is, I'm now looking at a Wismec Predator, and very close to pulling the trigger. You have one right? Pretty happy with yours?

Anna
Indeed i am :) Haven't had much issue with it tbh (it's just a boring mod but i'm not a "flashy" kinda guy)
Keep in mind though that imo the firing sidebar is stiff to press but to me that makes it safer to put into pockets
It's pretty much a love hate thing though, some may like some may not. I like simplicity and this suits me very well.

From what I read online, the Minikin V2 is not just unreliable at TC, it is a disaster. If you want TC, that is definitely not the mod to buy. I shouldn't even have suggested it knowing all that. My issue is that I am not having great success with TC or TCR on any mod with any tank I own. I don't know why that is. I just run everything is wattage mode, switching over to TCR with each new SS coil to see if this is the time it will be perfect and to date, it never is. So, I bought the Minikin V2 for aesthetic reasons only. I haven't given up on mastering TC and TCR but that is going to take a lot more experimentation on my part to get it right.

Eh, all these DNA mods are making my head spin. LOL I spent lots of time on Vapecrawler and I just can't find something that's exactly right. :) Or something. I'm giving up for now, will try again for Halloween (the good/bad news on our new place is that we aren't the neighborhood to go trick-or-treating in, so I will save about $60 in candy (not kidding, but the kiddos were so cute). I miss it, actually, we'd all (including my mom) sit in the cul de sac, watching the kids go by. I'll never forget the year my son got into politics and with each handful of candy, he'd go, "Vote Gary Johnson." He's been a libertarian from birth (this is a hard trait to manage within the school system, LOL) and when he found out there was a candidate he could vote for (one day) that shared his views, well, hilarity ensued. But since he is all grown up and most people around here have an acre or more of land, I will be saving on Candy and Pumpkin costs, LOL.
