So I have been using a 3.5ml tank for 2 months now and I love it. However, recently I noticed my smoketech dct started leaking or more like sweating. It doesn't not leak from the bottom, but instead the juice forms on the outside of the tank. Since I have to look at buying a new tank, I was looking at the Mini Vivi because I can replace the plastic tube with a metal one. What keeps me from buying one though is I have never been a fan of clearomizers and that is what a Mini Vivi reminds me of.

Can someone tell me if vapor from a Vivi is similar to a clearo or will I get a similar vape production and taste to a dct? I will be using it on a ego twist. Also I carry my twist around everywhere so I pyrex tank is out of the question at this time. Some help would be appreciated.

I just got a Vivi nova off of Vapingzone and I love it. It's nice too cause they have the ones with side air holes, so you dont have to worry about your connector blocking airflow. I have a mini vivi, and I like it too, but I really like the option of flexibility in ohms in replacement coils. Plus the 2.8ml capacity is enough for 1-2 days of vaping for me. The drip tip they come with is pretty neat too.

VZ NOVA Tank Clearomizer 3.5ml V2.5 - E Cig : Joye eGo & eGo-T | Boge Leo | Cartomizers | E-Liquid | Electronic Cigarettes | eGo Tank This is the one i just picked up, it says 3.5 but if you overfill it your juice will flood your coil. I have several of them because I like to be able to steep the juices or switch up my flavor. The Metal Vivi tanks should work on this. I have not found a DCT that I like as much as the Vivi.

I have used both the mini vivi nova and the Clearomizer V3 (or called CE5). I love both of them -- the grestest of flavor and lots of vapor.

I have found that you will find the best price on the vivi novas at Aquavapor. I've bought from them quite a few times and they have great customer service. Vision VIVI NOVA 2.5ml eGo Tank - All NEW Tank System with Replaceable Atomizer Heads - Latest in eCig Innovation

Just wondering tho, if you are using a 3.5 dct now, why wouldn't you get the 3.5 vivi nova?

What you will find is that top coils (like the Nova) run hotter than bottom coils (like a carto). So most that don't like them were using them at the same voltage that they used for cartos. Turn the voltage down, and you will like them.

I can't believe I hadn't thought of this! I recently started using a couple of top-coil setups and was getting turned off to them. Trying them now at lower voltages, they're much better!
Thanks for the tip!

When I first started vaping just a few months ago I started with a stardust and I just couldn't get the flavor I wanted out of it. Then I tried the Phoenix TC and the flavor was better, but out of 5 I was only able to use two because the others failed straight out of the box. So, next I ordered a DCT and another clearomizer and the DCT has always worked until the leak problem. Currently, I am using the clearomizer until I order something new, but the flavor is very mute. I have looked at the vivi nova for a long time but never bought one because it uses wicks like clearos and I am unsure if the flavor will get better or be the same of my dct that uses cartos.

Hi folks, I'm fairly new to vaping and I've been there, done that, as they say. I use my DCT on a regular basis, it took a while to get the learning curve down, i got a DCT funnel from litecigusa for about 4 bucks and it made refilling incredibly easy. As for the Vivi Nova I got one because I was having the same problem with clearo's- poor flavor, and I can tell you that the Vivi is alot better with flavor. I got the smaller one because I thought it might help with a smaller amount of juice and the longer wicks, and I was right. I was able to vape the tank nearly empty and had much better flavor than my other clearo's (T2's). So I would recommend having a Vivi. I think it's an efficent little device. The 3.5 DCT is good for having the extra juice for the dual coil, if it's working well, it will use a bit more juice, and for me the smaller Vivi help those long wicks soak up the last of the juice in your tank. I hope this helps.

AGAIN:
These are not Boge cartos! Turn the voltage down! Top coil heads don't need as much voltage.

Agreed, I just am shocked that running anything above 4.5v with a 2.8ohm head is giving me a burning taste. In theory this shouldn't happen 5 or so.

And kabonk, you should look at the aluminum tanks, they will eliminate the breakage problem in the future.

The incandescent light bulbs I tossed out last year were 60 watt (0.5 amp), the florescent bulbs I replaced them with are 12 watt (0.1 amp). So "in theory" I should need a white cane to find my way around the house.
It's the same thing, comparing different kinds of light bulbs is really no different than different types of heads.

Tell ya what, the charge life of my batteries is almost half again as long using top coils at a lower voltage, and I kinda like that.
