I'm currently using a Riva 1100mah with 510 threads and SMOKTECH C.C.V. LR 1.7 OHM XL cartos. I want to try a tank as I seem to chain vape and kill cartos (I posted in veterans forum to see if there is a way I can fix that).

Question I guess is, how do tanks work? Is it literally just a part you buy and it connects with the carto/battery combo you are currently using?

Secondarily, what is a good, low maintenance tank? I'd like to get one asap.

Thanks

I have a tank....but don't really like the taste of the filler in the cartos. Check out the Vivi Nova, or the E1 Revive.....

I got a vision stone tank from GotVapes. WHen it works, it works good. But it is very sporadic in the way it hits. It goes from dry to tidal wave and just a few perfect. Good points. easy to fill, be real easy to rebuild. I am using 70-30 juice, and think that maybe a thicker juice might work better with more vg like 50/50. The one that works almost flawlessly is the grande tank. But you might need a syringe to fill it.

Yes you can us your Riva with the SMOKTECH C.C.V. LR 1.7 OHM XL cartos. You just need to get a tank that takes 510 cartos and punch some holes in the carto. If you don't want the carto sticking out above the tank you probably need to get a 5ml tank. Make sure the tank does not need cartos with a flange unless you want to use cartos with a flange. I would also order the cartos from CCV in stainless steel so you don't have to peel the labels off of them. Clouds of Vapor, and Vapor Age sell some nice carto punches. I chain vape also, and a tank keeps my carto from heating up to fast. The liquid around the carto, in the tank, acts as a heat sink.

THE best tank out there, IMO, is a Phiniac tank that you can buy at Phiniac Rugged Pyrex Glass Tanks. They are a little more pricey than the polycarb tanks but will NOT crack with certain juices. They are Pyrex glass and can be bought beautifully sandblasted, veneered, or with handblown decor. The Tall boy tank will hold about 4 ml, I think, and will fit standard prepunched tank cartos that you currently have. I own 3 of them with 2 more on order. LOVE them! Might want to check it out! :)

tj99959,

I'm a vaping newbie for the most part so if you have any suggestions on good cartos for the J-Tank other than ENS's, please let me know.
I have some boge lr 2 ohm cartos that I haven't tried yet.
May stick them in tonight and see how I like em.

I've noticed that the 5ml tank is a better "heat sink" than the 3 ml. when you're chain vaping.
So I fill my 5ml with my favorite juice and keep the other 3ml's on standby at all times :)

Thanks

I agree - I first used a Smoketek DCT tank and then upgraded to a Phiniac tank and never went back to using the DCT tank. You can also get the Phiniac tanks plain, which are less expensive. Phiniac also sells a cool little tank tool that makes it so much easier to insert the carto and fill the tank. I have had great experience with Phiniac!
