Hi everyone,

I just got two tanks that use ce2 cartomizers. I've already run into problems and as this is my first experience using either a tank or a ce2, I thought I'd better come to the answer people.

1. I filled the the first tank (about 80% full). The first thing I notice is the burned taste I'm getting which, if I were using a regular Boge carto I would simply throw away and get another. But here I dunno. Is this a normal start up problem that will 'burn away', or is there anything I can do short of tossing it?

2. I tried the second tank to see if it was an improvement over the first. It isn't making contact or something - I'm unable to make it work. I am using a ProVari and when I check the Amps/Volts, whatever (real technical person here), I get the OP reading that says it isn't reading.

Both of these ce2 tanks are 3.0 ohms.
Any info, pointers, tips will be greatly appreciated!

With the burnt taste how long after filling did you try to vape it? Make sure to put a few drops on the coil/wick, I usually let mine sit for about 5 minutes before using it. If it still does it after waiting then I cannot help as mine are always ok after doing this. As for #2 check out this vid and see if it helps. Taste Your Juice | HOW TO PULL YOUR POST :)

What kind of tank are you using?

The burning taste from the CE2 is likely due to the seal pinching the wick. Remove the seal and make the notches that go over the wick larger.

As far as the second one not making contact, try pulling the center post on the tank/carto out with a paper clip. Depending on the tank/carto you use you can also try gently tapping downward on the CE2 cup to move the center post down a bit.

I'm using a Torpedo tank (in both cases). After reading T-Mac's comment, I get the feeling that I was too hasty in vaping after filling and that was the cause of the burning. Unfortunately, I am on baby-patrol at the momennt and can't get to fiddling with my tanks for a few hours or even watching the video for now :-( Hopefully, I can get the second one to work by adjusting the post as has been suggested.

I just got these things and I have to wait for some back up CE2s I ordered before I can substitute if I have to. I'll take advantage of the post to ask one more question: Anyone know of a good video about taking these things apart, cleaning, etc?

There is a review on youtube but nothing I have seen as far as disassembling/reassembling. I have both versions of the torpedo and like them alot. I can tell you that if you are looking for replacement CE2s you need to get the steel versions and cut them open (the clearo style will not work or didnt for me anyway) or wait for Vapor Age to get some in stock. Hope you get them working correctly I think you will enjoy them.

Disassembling a Torpedo tank is pretty straight forward.

ARE YOU JOKING? I had heard these things were 'snug'. But that does not even begin to describe the torture I have been going through trying to get the original CE2s out of there. I may well be pretty inept, but I tried for an hour and then just gave up.
I don't have a work bench or any wide assortment of tools and have been trying to 'pop' it outta there with (in order): swiveling a bit on top of an EGO battery (as seen in a video), a pen knife, a screwdriver, hitting the screwdriver with a pair of pliers to force it out...all to no avail.

Can it really be this hard?

I've got the replacement CE2s now and would dearly love to be able to try and get these tanks working. How come nothing ever works right?

How I remove ce2s from tanks is to take a 1/2" socket (like the kind with ratchet set) put the bottom of the tank on top of the open end socket nad tap the ce2 from the top with a hammer. Comes right out. Pop it good a time or two.. The ce2 will fall right down in the socket. The socket holds the outside of the tank delrin bottom cap etc allowing the ce2 to fall out the bottom..
