I have been vaping for around 16 months. The past year of that has been with a reo, which I do like a lot. Recently I have decided I want something else, in addition to my reo. Something a little more sleek, a little smaller, and preferebly vv. I am almost sure I will go with Provari mini, but I will want to get a tank system and I have no experience in this realm. My question is how do I know which cartomizers will fit which tanks, and vice versa? Also, what do you recommend for a tank setup? Which tank? With what carto? Ohms? Etc, etc.. I don't want to go with a cheap setup, nor do I want to go ridiculously expensive. Somewhere in the middle. Keep in my this will be going on a provari. Thank you for any input and advice you guys have for me!

There are two sizes of cartos standard and XL( the only difference is length). When you buy a tank it will always say whether the tube is meant standards or XL's. I suggest a good small tank that will fit standards at first, and i'd have to push your provari mini decision :)

Cartomizer Punch Try here for a carto punch, unless you always buy your cartos with holes pre-punched on the sides you'll need it.

http://www.ibtanked.com/ --- My favorite tank store, but Phiniac Tanks, Lil Mama Tanks and Bellas are all extremely nice. (Ibtanked is very affordable tho)

I just find it funny that i'm vaping a provari mini with a Carto Tank right now. Also remember that anything with a diameter of 19mm will look BOSS on your provari as the 510 connection side is around exactly 19 mm. Hope this helps, good shopping bro!

I really should have mentioned how annoying it is to fill a tank without a "Filler" of some kind and that J-tank is pretty sweet for the price :/

Yeah, a tank tool saves the day. :)
The J-tanks looks really cool, but personally I think the IBTanks are a much better deal for only a few dollars more, considering you get the tank tool, pyrex tank, stainless caps, thingy, extra o-rings and a pre-punched carto for $25.

Ikenvape 801 fusions are the best i've ever found for flavor and throat hit specifically, the draw is looser than most cartomizers but you vape mountains and taste your juice perfectly. The process is go to Ikenvape.com and use the email me when in stock feature so you can get some when he restocks. I love his standard and low resist Fusions and his 510 LR T's. hopefully you can find all 3 of those on his site, and also remember to just get his pre-punched ones. I've tried cartomizers from just about every manufacturor (kanger, Boge, Smok Tech being the ones i remember quickly) and i would bet my life ikenvapes are the highest quality. I buy Boge from vaporbeast.com (Vaporbeast is close with the Boge company and Boge seem to have quality issues so i stick to this place) and LR Smok Techs from empiremods.com when i am absolutely out and so is Ikenvape lol. Also if you buy 801 fusions it'd suck not to remember to buy that stealth adapter they sell

Thanks for the responses guys! You have been a huge help! what kind of cartomizers do you guys recommend? I want to get the best flavor and vapor production I can..

Ikenvapes, if you can get them. They are an extremely popular, premium carto made in limited quantities. Best flavor I've experienced in a carto, and they last longer, too. The 510 Fusion and Platinum are what you want to try to obtain.

For a list of vendors selling prepunched cartomizers follow this link:

http://www.e-cigarette-forum.com/forum/blogs/baditude/3295-2-sample-list-vendors-selling-pre-punched-single-coil-cartomizers-cartotanks.html

Beyond the Ikenvapes, you choice will be Boge and Smoktech.

Boges have a denser filler. More difficult to fill because of that, and possibly not wick as well as the Smoktech's, but less likely to flood.

Smoktech's have a less dense filler, are easier to fill, less likely to get dry hits, but more likely to flood.

*The above comments are based solely on my experience.

Always with the great knowledge baditude to the rescue. I have a ibtanked 19mm xl and the big daddy tank due to I like switching them when I get off work having 2filled tanks is nice for easy flavor changes. Only thing I can recommend is watch out for how many holes are pre punched for higher vg juice ratio get 2 hole punched. I can say this has helped because I started with thin liquid and used 2 hole cartos and they were constantly flooding. I hope this helps.

Wow! Lots of great info! One more question for you guys I went to ibtanked and saw the standard's and xl's, but when I'm looking at the fusion cartomizers on ikenvape I don't see anything referring to the size..? Am I just not seeing it? Sweet setups you guys got there by the way!

Hi the IkenVape "Mega" cartos will go in an IBTanked XL. Provided Baditude stops buying them long enough for other people to get some.

ETA: IBTanked sells pre-punched cartos to fit their tanks. They are listed under Accessories. I got some 2.0ohm, they are equivalent to (if not actually, but unmarked) SmokTech.

An IBTanked 19mm XL will look great on your Provari. Buy the complete tank kit, then you get the genius tank filler tool as well, a must have.

This is the first one I bought for my Provari. It looks good and you get everything you need with the kit. I do not like the plastic tanks personally because cinnamon, citrus and some other flavors are know to cause cracking.

Thanks Ocelot! Just pulled the trigger on the whole setup! So excited!!! I ended up going with the black Provari mini, with blue led. As for the tank, I went with the Ibtanked 19mm xl (complete kit). Lastly, I picked up a few SmokTech punched cartos. Until Ikenvape restocks.. Thanks to all of you for letting me pick your brains! I feel much more prepared and confident in buying tanks and carts for my new PV.
