I've been using tanks for quite awhile now, but I'm getting tired of this flooding nonsense. I think the weather has a lot to do with tanks and cartos flooding. They rarely ever flood on me when I'm indoors, but once I take it outside for awhile, they almost always flood. Im just tired of dealing with the constant mess and bs that comes with the cartos flooding. Frustrating really. For All you tank users, what's best for longevity without leaking/ flooding?

I don't wanna have to go back to using attys with the drip method.( especially when I'm out n about)

i took the carto out and wiped it all down, blew it out, etc and it's working fine again. Knock on wood.

SUGGESTIONS FOR A BETTER TANK SETUP?

Unfortunately I have not. I think it's just in the nature of the tank systems to flood sometimes, because I believe pressure is all that's keeping the liquid in. But if anyone does have a system that doesn't flood I'm all ears! Because it's a really cool idea.

As it stands, I mostly just use clearos for out and about. I feel like they taste better than cartos, and the liquid stays put pretty well.

I actually have a couple tanks from them and have had different problems than the flooding I'm having with these ones from provape. Mom and pops both tasted burnt after a a few refills. Not sure the deal there. Maybe I could try these carts in those tanks? I' m not one to really tinker around with different things. I like to buy it,use it and repeat. I just love the simplicity of using tanks compared to everything else. Fill it and vape it. Done.

hm, barometric pressure having an effect on tanks? seems sound...

maybe try a vivi nova or another atty tank.
...maybe repairables are in your future?

I don't find the idea to be that ridiculous. I mean from my understanding, pressure is really all that keeps the liquid in those little plastic tanks. A change in barometric pressure might effect that. I don't know, but I wouldn't say it's out of the realm of possibility.

im always surprised to hear that people have problems with their tanks leaking...sometimes I have a few little issues while refilling them but I've always followed the "only fill them 2/3rds" rule of thumb and for the most part I'm fine

the other little move that I have to keep any leaking to a minimum is to blow any excess through the carto and into a paper towel then take a "dry hit"...in my mind this gets the juice trending in the opposite direction upward...the second part might sound a little ludicrous but it seems to work for whatever reason

I might have a FEW minor issues here and there but nothing compared to the mayhem dripping wrought from time to time...tanks are by far my juice delivery method and only surpassed by my cartomizers in juice retention

I'm not using anything special either...just a stock dct...so I'm not sure why other people find these things to be leaky...for once, I seem to be one of the people who don't have any issues (which is a minor miracle)

anyway...good luck...I hope you find something that works for you

I have alot flooding problems to with this hot weather and not only in my carto system, penelope acting up like crazy to. Im 100% sure its just the heath because if i put PV next to laptop (wich get hot) i will make pene flood and gurgle in 10 minutes, using 60/40 PG/VG. It never flooded on me before the summer did hit in here.

Suggestion...no lol, it drives me crazy to!

I'm almost positive it's the extreme heat that's causing it to flood. Unless its just a coincidence that whenever I go out, the damn thing floods. ( doubtful)

I'm gonna try not filling them up to almost full and see what happens. Maybe when they're too full, mixed with the heat, the pressure is just too much for it.

Giving up tanks isn't an option for me lol

i wasn't being sarcastic or facetious, it was something i had never considered before and it was interesting.

I have rarely experienced a flooded tank. I use smoktech tanks with their pre punched cartos and it works perfect. If you have a thicker juice they come in 1-3 punched hole versions. If you slotting or punching your own cartos you may be making the whole too big or too deep cutting through the center tube. If you need to go out with a tank, i bring the slim with me. Unless your rock claiming or something it should be fine. A single hole is fine for 70/30 pg/vg juice. I never have any problems. You also might want to pick up a tank filling adapter. It makes you life simpler and helps the "O" rings on your tank last longer:

If none of this helps you always have the vivi nova tank with the replaceable heads. I just bought one from gotvapes.com. It vapes like a dream. I couldn't be simpler to fill and replace the heads.

I had severe flooding problems with the tank and carto that came with my vtube kit. I bought a J-tank from electronicsitx and some boge cartomizer which I punch myself and havent had a single flooding issue since. I have put the xl boge cartos in my original tank that was flooding and they worked fine. The prepunched cartos I was gettin only had one hole so I was like why the hell does it keep flooding. The ones I punch myself have 2 holes which are much bigger and never have flooded besides initial fill. I would suggest not buying those prepunched ones with the tiny holes.

Mine were the same way the seemed to flood within minutes of going outside in the heat. I also felt that I had to be able to use tanks for vaping to work for me. Since I started punching my own and not using the prepunched with the tiny holes I have not had any problems at all with flooding. Ill be out in the heat 90deg for a few hours and it doesnt phase them. It has to have something to do with those tiny holes. Mine had tiny holes and were flanged at the bottom so they fit real nice in the tank that they came with however, they didnt function well at all. You can buy a tool to punch your own holes from many websites or go to Lowes/Home Depot and buy a 1/4 inch self tappin saddle valve. You can youtube it or look it up in threads here and see how it is done.
