Hi everyone, I've been vaping for almost two years and built coils. I got tired of that and wanted a good tank. I'm using a tesla wood box mod with a matrix tank and .2ohm coil. It hits hard but it still leaks a little at the bottom. The other tank I had was an orchid. Tough to build coils for and it leaked a lot. Is there a tank that's does NOT leak? I appreciate all the input!!

Only tank I've ever had that really had a chronic leaking problem was my Orchid. That thing was leaky as heck, no matter what I did with the wicks or the coils.. I eventually gifted it to a friend who thought he fixed it until it dumped a full tank of juice all over his pants.

Otherwise, I haven't experienced much in the way of tank leaking, aside from when filling. You sure the head is in tight (for the Matrix)? If there's no solid "vacuum" effect created in the tank (meaning, if there's a secondary spot for air to get in) you'll experience some leaking.

In terms of tanks that don't leak.. Umm.. I mean, most don't leak under normal circumstances. The Starre, the SubTank Mini, etc., are all relatively leak-free as far as my experience goes.

I rarely have tanks leak. I have the TFV4 now with the premade coils. Not one single bit of leaking. It's top fill so there isn't a need to unscrew it multiple times. Only time it leaked was when I first used the RBA deck, I messed up and instantly all the juice flowed out the airhole  haha that was a nightmare.

Yeah, I rarely have any tanks that leak........ You have been vaping for quite awhile and so I imagine that you are not over tightening your parts, which is what I have noticed causes many tanks to leak. My Favorite tank (so far) is the Arctic and it has never once leaked on me (knock on wood).

It's impossible to make a tank that never leaks. ALL tanks require a certain amount of controlled leaking to work. If they didn't leak you wouldn't get juice to your wick.

That said, there are some tanks that control the leaking better than others. Tanks with juice flow control that can be completely shut off are the best, but they can still leak anytime the juice control is opened. Tanks that have the wick completely filling the juice channels are also very good at limiting leaking since the flow of liquid is usually blocked if the wick is already saturated. Top coil tanks are less likely to leak than bottom coil simply due to the amount of pressure the liquid is putting on the juice channels. Tanks that have a "well" where the juice pools up before being drawn into the wick are the most likely to leak since there is always a small puddle of free flowing juice in the bottom of the air chamber.

There are also environmental changes that can cause leaking. Changes in altitude can cause leaking because the seal between the juice and the air chamber is controlled by air pressure. If the outside pressure drops then the air in the tank forces liquid out until the inside pressure matches the outside pressure. Temperature changes can also cause leaking because juice thins and becomes more viscus as it heats up, making it flow easier.

Most new tanks with premade coils do a really good job of limiting leaking. If you're looking for an RTA that rarely leaks look for one with juice control or one that is made so the wick fills the entire juice channel. Avoid tanks with large juice channels and a well where the juice pools up before it's drawn into the wick. Those can easily leak anytime the tank is tilted or air pressure changes.

The only rebuildable tanks that I've had are an old genny style tank (PITA), the Orchid, and now the Silver Play V2. Never had any leaking issues with the Orchid until I cracked the tank. The Silver Play is rock solid as well (when built correctly). The trick to the Orchid and Silver Play is to have a bit of the wicks go into the juice channels (I use rayon for wicks). Positive note on the Silver Play is that the airholes and juice channels are huge. I'd compare it to a dripper... with a 4.5ml capacity!

Original Lemo never ever ever...ever never leaks. Once you learn the ins and outs of the tank and get the wicking method down it will never leak. Cheers!

That premise applies to all tanks, not just the Lemo.
Not true. Some tanks are just leaky b@#$#&*ds no matter how proficient you get with them. The thing about the Lemo is that it does leak a very little but it contains the little that does in the base where you fill. As long as you wipe it out when you fill it will never drain out the airholes, down your mod, or into your 510 connection. "Cleanest" tank I've owned. Even the Lemo 2 isn't as "clean" as the OG Lemo and its top fill.

Edit: Even walking around with it stuck in my pocket with all the jarring it takes in my pocket...it has never ever leaked on me.
