So I've been running a 1.8ohm DCT that I sometimes switch out with a 3.0ohm single coil carto and I gotta say I haven't been terribly thrilled with it. I just don't think a cartomizer does any of the juices I like any kind of justice. But I know I like clearomizers as I have been primarily using the Thor Clearo on my eGo-T 18650 and the Vision eGo Clearo on my Vision Spinner and I have seen CE style tanks around and even a few of them have been kind of like clearos I use in style. Like the Splitfire and Vision Maz look like they use the same idea as the Thor I just know nothing about it.

So basically I am asking, what's around and kicking well for CE style tanks? I do primarily run tanks on my Lavatube so I try shooting to be around that 3.0ohm marker for higher voltages.

You can also get clearo-style cartos for your tanks that use the regular mega cartos. They just have a coil inside with an interior wick, so the design is the same as with clearos, but they look a hell of a lot better (at least in my opinion, I hate how "busy" all the Novas and Clearos look)

I tried to like the Vivi. It was weak to me. Vapor, flavor, and throat hit

Some say it dulls the flavor too much .. others say its just fine .. some say they prefer it over dripping. So yeah, it truly is a preference thing. To me, the dullness is only slight and seems to mute out more of the sweetness, which I actually prefer. I can't vape sweets all that much, they've become a novelty to me.

I tried the mini and didnt like it. But I have a friend with the full size Vivi and his hit better than mine and my girlfriend's did. Not sure why it would matter... but his wasnt too bad.

Could be a difference in the coil wrapping perhaps? The tighter the coil wrap, the better experience you should have.

I picked up two Minis and the experience differs with both. One performs great, the other, a little less so. I've come to realize too, though, that the juice you use matters as well. So at this point, I think the one that's not performing as well is due to the juice I'm using with it. It'll be better for some, not so much with others. The one that IS performing well, I also did a little "extra" to it before adding my juice (separating and fluffing the wicks). Personally, other than one performing sub-par, the experience, for me, is a positive one.

If at all possible. The next time you dry burn (or take it apart and fire it just for giggles) check and see if the coils are wrapped at different spacing. I honestly think the difference ... outside of different juices of course ... COULD be how well the coil is wrapped.
