I dropped from 24 to 18, then to 12, then to 6 and now I use 3.

Of course that means that if I find a juice I like I end up buying one of 6 and another of zero and mixing them to get to 3.

I have my first order for DIY placed, hopefully I can make something vapable. If so, I may go ahead and try a small bottle of 1 or 2. Right now 0 nic isn't working for me, yet.

Then again,I never cared about "throat hit," so YMMV.

I started with 6 and am still using 6. I did try cutting it with 0 to make it 3 but it just didn't do it for me. I'm not saying that, eventually, I won't try again but right now it's 6. Hopefully I'll be able to do it sometime and then all the way down to 0.

I went from 36mg/ml (for 3 years) to 24mg/ml and with better delivery systems, I can see it will get lower. I already feel like I need to lower it down to 12mg/ml because after chain vaping I get dizzy. so next orders of juice will be 12mg/ml

the only reason I'm lowering my nicotine level is because I don't want to catch too much of a buzz. i like vaping not getting sick.

Very encouraging posts every one. I too have been trying to lower my nic level for the last 9 month. I have been doing 24mg and bought some 18mgs. The hard part is first thing in the morn, I still get nic cravings. I need it to pick me up and get moving. If I don't vape for a couple of hours during the day, I get nic cravings. I want to get over that.

Then again I had a 30yr heavy habit. Nice to know I may have bought me some more time to work it out by vaping.

Are you all intending to stop vaping after you reach zero? I lowered my nic from 24 to 18 without a problem. I still have some 24 that I sometimes mix with my 18 mg juices just to use it up. I am lucky in that I honestly can't really tell the difference between an 18 and a 24. I don't think the nicotine itself is harmful so the only reason I bother to lower it is because I think it can't be great to vape PG/VG/flavorings all day long like I do. My PV is in my hand almost all day! The only way I can imagine ever stopping is to first break the nicotine addiction by going to zero and at the same time gradually reduce the non-stop vaping.

The main thing is we all quit smoking! This is the real victory! Hooray for us!

The wife and I cut from 24 to 18 and now to about 16 pretty easy, and no we did not upgrade our devices to do it. We will be dropping to 12 for our next step. As someone else pointed out nicotine is no more dangerous than caffeine and this is never more true than if someone (like my wife) already has high blood pressure problems. She had to give up caffeine to help correct this and we feel that ditching the nicotine will help further. Not to mention, it would be nice to be at 0nic and able to walk away, when and if any legislation comes out banning all of the good flavors or restricting us to Big-T sources.

Went from 24mg to 12 within the first six months. Stayed with 12 for the rest of my first year. Started DIY, dropped to 9, then 6, then 4. Now I'm at 2mg, and am staying there. Tried 0mg, but I have to have some throat hit. Plus nicotine is good for focus and memory, and I can use all the help I can get :)

I used to use 24mg in the morning and 18mg throughout the rest of the day. That was back in November, 2012. Today, I'm vaping 3mg all day...and it was my new year's resolution to get down to 4mg!x

I'm doing much the same but I started out at 6mg and have been cutting that with 0 nic for the past couple weeks.

I started with 24 and am now at 12mg

I keep a bottle of the strong stuff for mornings, and other needful moments (pooping), but use the 12 throughout the day.
I plan to get to 6, I've been just going lower in jumps- like I dropped my nic level to 18, and probably chain-vaped like crazy for a week or two. then when it got back to normal use I dropped again to 12. currently coming out of the chainvape phase with that, so I will drop again in a week or so.

Never heard of that. Thanks for the chuckle. Is that where the old saying came from? "Vape or get off the pot"?

best regards, larry mac
