Taste buds are awakening

I started eCigs over a year ago. One of the first things I noticed was how quickly my sense of taste (smell) changed. I soon learned not to mix or purchase large amounts of eliquid because what tasted good today would likely taste bad tomorrow.

I believe, for the most part, the taste buds have returned to normal and I like the flavors I’ve been mixing. So, this is the problem. . . I have not been able to find a juice with a clean, clear taste. They all seem a little heavy or ‘muddy’. My recipes have only three or four flavorings (usually Flavourart and LorAnn) totaling less than 8%.

Not looking for any particular flavor but the way flavor is delivered . . . lite, crisp, clear. Apple juice; not coffee.
Okay, maybe it’s not the eliquid; could be the cartomizers (I do not drip or use tanks). Or me?

If you have a recipe or a method or an explanation, I would love to hear it.

I've heard several people say they vape unflavored liquid. just do a mix with your normal pg/vg ratio and nic mg percent. hope that helps and good luck

I agree with john333. That's the best way to clarify your taste.

Thanks, but not the answer I’m looking for. I love the flavors. Just looking for a way to clean it up.

Then try single flavor juices. The combo might be muddying the waters.
Do you vape fruits? Bakery? Tobacco?
Also, attys give a much sharper taste. Cartos and carto tanks are for blends, IMO.

Could be I'm just setting the bar too high. I'm too hard to please but I'll keep mixin' and testing new hardware anyway. It's fun.
