Hi Koticat. Its not just you. It happens to some of us. It happened to me right around the two month mark. Luckily I had a few other Liquids that I wasn't fond of , in higher nic, that I fell back on to get me past the eraser effect. My opinion is this, try something completely opposite of your favs. I'm not sure what lava juice tastes like but creme de menthe I know fairly well. I would say try something like a waffle liquid or a fruit liquid to see if that kick starts your palette. Or if you have the ability maybe even vape a flavorless liquid with the right amount of nic for a little while to give your taste buds a rest. And Last But Not Least, up you intake of water. It will help to correct your issue much sooner than if you hadn't. Good Luck. Happy vaping.

Thanks for the advice!! This is just really weird lol! Oh and BTW.......Lava Juice is normally amazing......cinnamon on the inhale.....Apple in the middle.....and pear in the exhale. Hmmmmm......completely opposite huh?? Only ones we have here at the moment......and i just made a juice run today......is the Lava Juice, Cream de Menthe, Strawberry Champagne, regular Strawberry, Pomegranate, and Wintergreen Apple. Which do u suggest I try to go with?

I'm worried about the same thing happening once my tastebuds recover from analog abuse. Are you a former smoker? As long as I still love my caramel macchiato the vape/juice Gods may have the rest! Ahhh my smokers lying tongue...

*edit* Strawberry champagne sounds delicious! I hear the fruity ones with champagne notes have a very satisfying TH, read it here as well so that's my vote.

I have had a dull, odd taste before. But never distorted, like that sounds. I did what the poster above mentioned, drinking lots of water and washed mouth, scraped tongue, and waited several hours before vaping again, nothing appeared to work. Everything was back to full flavor the next day, but it was just flavors being lifeless for that time.

Yep I sure am a former smoker.....smoked. 1 and a half to 2 pad. Laid them down after 32 years of abuse on 2/18/12 and oicked uo my very first e-cig.....a disposable Njoy from Wal-Mart!! LOL! After that, went to Circle K(glorified gas station)and picked up a 21st Century Smoke Kit and used that for a couple weeks. Then found my favorite shop and bought an eGO set, plus got a few 510 batteries to carry in my purse. Happy with all my goodies so far.....if I could just get past this taste issue!!

Koticat, I would think that out of the ones you have listed the strawberry pomegrante would be the farthest from lavajuice. Is the lavajuice a newer favorite or an older one? The reason I ask is the word cinnamon, if it has a heavier cinnimon inhale it could....could be the culprit, causing everything else to be kinda ...blah..... but if its an old favorite then it may just be the re firing of the ole' taste buds. The only times it happened to me where when I was vaping a heavy peppermint/menthol combo and it didnt last for weeks, the first was a couple days, the second was a day. Good Luck. Let us know how it goes and what helps you get past this. Ya never know who else You may be able to help when this happens to them.

It's an old favorite.....I've vaped on it a lot. It's usually the ine i grab when I want a big TH.......then on less stressful days I go for the Cream de Menthe.....its smooth and yummy! I'll do as u suggest and try the fruit flavors.....see if that helps. I'll probably repost later on tomorrow, or whenever I get around this issue.....let y'all know how it goes. :)

This has happened to me as well, the first time at about 2 weeks. I notice this off and on and I am now getting close to 2 months. Here are a few things I have noticed when this happens to me: When I am vaping a LOT...like non stop (this was a problem in the very beginning, I have slowed down a little...) when humidity in the house gets low (yeah, I know I live in the torrential rain zone, but we use a wood stove, which drys the air out) or I am not drinking enough water. I switch flavors around, try to vape a little less, drink lots more water and this may sound funny or gross or whatever, but if my nose/sinuses are dry I use a little saline spray and that helps a little.
I think it is normal that our tastebuds go out of whack too and who knows how long it will take for things to get back to tasting consistant. Hang in there, it shouldn't be a permanent issue. The first time this happened to me NOTHING tasted right/good for close to a week.

And hey I'm a firm believer in saline nose spray......glad you brought it up.....I hadn't even considered it!! Gna hit up the saline In a few......and take a Claritin. Hey.....it can't hurt!!

Alrighty......this is what I did and it worked.. Went back to my local show and got some plain tobacco flavor.....USA mix......similar of course to a Marlboro light. Upped the nic a bit......usually vape 12-14 on a regular basis......Upped it to 18. Added one more bottle(20 oz)of water to my usual water intake, which is usually around 40 oz a day. Did this for 2 days......guess it kinda gave my taste buds a rest. Because after all the flavorful juices I've been trying out, tobacco flavor is kinda blah blah.....band u know? Well .......it worked!! Green light means GO! :)
