I have been vaping for 4 months. I have been a week today without a cigarette. Very proud of myself and feel a lot better since just vaping. My question is I can't seem to taste my liquid much at all..I can tell what flavor but it's not as strong as normal. I have a daily rotation on liquid and every couple of days I switch flavors. Any advice on why this happens?
thanks in advanced!

Through my vaping journey I've noticed many changes in my tasting abilities, at first i could only taste very strong flavors and then i started to noticed the subtleties in liquids, and very strong flavors became too much. What it sounds like you are experiencing is the dreaded vape tongue. I would switch flavors and drink lots and lots of water and it should pass.

I think that's normal.

At least that certainly happened to me and lasted a few days from what I recall. I couldn't even really tell the difference between different juice flavours. Right after that, I'm pretty sure my taste buds reset or something because I could suddenly taste everything much more then before.

even really basic things like salt and pepper suddenly had so much more flavour.

The odd thing about it was that the juices that I liked when I first started were kind of nasty tasting afterwards.

Could be your coil is gunked up and needs to be cleaned/replaced.

But could also be the vapors tounge it happends to me usually near the end of the day. I vape the same juice all the time and I notice when I first wake up and vape I can taste all the flavor. After vaping through the day the flavor seems to go away a bit and I think it's because my taste buds are so used to the flavor that they just aren't picking it up as much.

Might also be the dehydrated thing as well. Go drink a good amount of water, wait a while, and try again to see if the flavor comes back.

Here's a bit of info I found about the phenomenon... thanks to Rat2chat2 for the link.

From all that I have read, yes. I have never experienced this but there are so many that have. Here is an article that describes what it is and some of the remedies.
