Completely normal. You shouldn't stress it too much. Above posters said it... Stay hydrated.;) Vaping will dehydrate you just like smoking does. Your mouth isn't use to vapor yet. I had that feeling of drinking a warm soda on my tongue for a couple weeks starting off. Taste buds were dull and then extra sensitive to hot "spicy" foods. Just give it time.

Something weird I thought I'd share?? I've been vaping for a little over two weeks now, and have quit smoking analogs (i've been a smoker for 21 years). Anyways, since I've been vaping I've been having pains on the left and right sides of my chest?? Not sure if this is normal after quitting analogs (thought maybe my lungs were not used to having no carcinogens in them...lol.) Will also add that my sense of taste and smell are definately getting better!!

Weird... YES but that did happen to me too. I had a lot of quick sharp pains for a while but not to say it's not serious. I noticed mine went away a month or so after starting. I had a check up and a physical and told my Dr. I quit smoking and the side effecs I was having and he said they were all normal. Get checked if you don't feel comfortable though. better safe then sorry right:)

That's exactly what i'm having....quick sharp pains. If it were just my left, I would be worried of something else....but since it's left and right, I'm assuming it's my lungs. Thanks Coil for sharing your experiences...feel a little better now!!

Yeah no prob. When I quit analogs I was like, "Alright... here comes the perfect body."(internally) I had more problems with anxiety, stomach issues, sleeping, anger, coughing up CRAP etc. then ever!

Being addicted to cigs and givin em up is not an easy thing or your body! I used to think that my Nic fit with an Ecig would just make it all better. Same when I tried the patch and gum too. I pretty much went through a spazz attack the same way with vaping. Truth is you got 1,000's of chemicals your body "needs" and your not giving it to it anymore. It's ......!

One thing you have to be careful of, and no one has mentioned it, is when you are vaping don't get any of the eliquid on your tongue. Next thing you know your taste buds are all out of whack.

Also, I've noticed when using a new atomizer and dripping, getting the primer off is ESSENTIAL to the point I even flush it out with hot water first because just blowing and cleaning it off isn't enough for me. Yes, then it's all wet and you are dealing with water vapor for a while, but I'd prefer water vapor to the taste of primer any day. Even a little puff of primer with my eliquid messes up my taste buds for 12 hours. I hate it. Even my chocolate bar I nibbled on this morning was chalky and not as delicious as usual after making the mistake of picking up the wrong atomizer which still had primer on it last night. It was incredibly unpleasant.

As for the chest pain, I have them too. I'm right where you are in all this. I'm coughing up crap and being a little moody and my taste buds are coming back super strong. Everything tastes different, usually in a good way. I wonder to myself if flavors I like now or hate now will change in a month when my taste buds are more normal (or is it I'm more used to them?). Either way, keep going. This is hard, I admit it, but doing this with other people who understand and share their experiences make it so much nicer. Best part is you aren't calling an 800 number which can be embarrassing where you know they are recording everything you say and who you are. Here you are in a judgement free zone where no one is going to use you for research. ;)
