Alrighty, so i quit smoking on April 29th of this year, I bought a nautilus and an iTaste SVD along with some green gum e-juice. Iloved the taste of the juice so much i vaped it nonstop for a week and a half. Then out of nowhere i couldnt taste it anymore, so i figured i had 'vapers tongue'. I grabbed a couple bottles of other juice; cinnamon hearts and a strawberry and both of those are fantastic tasting! so to get to the point, ive avoided the green gum juice for about a week now and im still unable to taste it...could i really be so used to the taste that i will never taste it again? anyone know whats up? i mean when i smell the bottle it smells delicious but i just cant taste it, its really annoying because it was so delicious...

any opinions? suggestions?

I've tried cleansing my palette and all the silly suggestions I've read online but i find it so weird i still cant taste it after so long.

Thanks in advance :):vapor:

Your tastes are going to change as you go along, that isn't unusual at all. Like most others, I began vaping tobacco flavors, but that didn't last long. I got some apple flavor, and I loved that for a while before it lost favor with me. I still haven't found an apple flavor I truly enjoy to this day. Same with coffee flavors, they taste too much like tobacco to me.

Find some general flavor profiles you like, ie. fruits, candy, beverage, bakery, whatever. Then go from there, perhaps mixing profiles like bakery and fruit. I love things like strawberry cheesecake or root beer float (mix vanilla bean ice cream and root beer juice). Some folks find it useful to vape unflavored juice for a bit to clean their taste out. Finding juice that you really like is the most difficult thing to do in your vaping journey. Good luck, and welcome to ECF!

I haven't had the taste completely diminish on me before, but i have had them dull out a little. I usually try to drink lots of water and stay hydrated as vapers tongue or vapors fatigue can come with dehydration. It really helps with this problem, but if your tasting other flavors i cannot imagine that is the case. It might be possible that your really used to the flavor and so it doesn't taste as amazing or your taste is adjusting now that you have quit smoking. Either case once you narrow it down please share what you find out it would be interesting to know. Hope you get that taste back VAPE ON!

I feel your pain. I've had a few favorite juices go dull on me. Seems to take a few weeks for it to come back but I do not hydrate as much as I should. Also I went through a phase where I tried so many juices I didn't like that when I did find a good one it was almost all I would vape for 2 weeks till it went dull. I've now developed some common sense and rotate a few flavors through out the day which helps a ton. In a nut shell I'd say shelf your fav for a couple weeks then try again, but as others have said as your taste buds are healing and changing sometimes a liquid that was once great will suck for you. The good news is there are thousands of new flavors waiting for you to try them!
