Hi, im vaping since 3 weeks ago , i bought a elego twist VV with mini protank 3 and everything was going fine, but twoo days ago i washed my tank for the first time( did with alcool bath , warm and cold water, and hair dresser) and replaced the coil for a new one ,i thought everything was right but since that i got the same different taste everytime(already tryed 4 different liquids) , i dont know if its the battery or something else , its been like a nightmare for me , i bought and tryed 4 new coils and the taste is still the same , the coils get that smell/taste when i vape so i cant spent more money one new ones. i dont know what to do, if someone can give me some new solutions or tips i will appreciate a lot. Thank you

it sounds like you're getting dry hits. I had a similar issue when I was using a mini pro-tank II, and I think they may use the same coils.

I'm not allowed to post links yet, otherwise I'd post a pic to help make sense of it, but there's a small clear o-right right above the wicks; flip it upside down, and put it back on. This allows better juice flow to the wick and prevent the dry hits while still keeping things sealed properly.

The mini protank 2 and the mini protank 3 use different coils. The 2 is a single coil and the 3 is a dual coil.

i stand corrected whilst i sit.

actually, that's really good to know. I was thinking of picking up a few mini protank 3's from FastTech ($6 a tank...dang good price even if it does take a month to get to me) since I already have a bunch of the coils on hand, but knowing that they use different coils changes things...

You can use single coils on a mini pro tank 3, I have for quite a while. I add a couple small o rings to the chimney but Ive heard that flipping the silicone cap does the trick too. Switching to single coils uses less juice, and makes rewicking/rebuilding super easy. rewicking alone will make a coil last months (with regular re-wicking) vs days
