Greetings once again all.
I am proud to say that today marks week three free from the tyranny of 3 PAD tobacco use.
Many thanks to all of you here at ECF that have advised and encouraged me along.

I have a lot of work in that I need to get done so there is a slim chance that I'll be brief on my question of the week.

What do you consider the best way to sample new juices?

I know that dripping is the quickest, but how do you flush the flavor of one before trying the next? I use an ultrasonic cleaner but, depending on the flavor, there many times is a faint after taste. I use a couple of different attys so I always have one cleaning as I sample the next.

I learned quickly that not cleaning between samples can lead to some ummm, interesting flavors. Some have made me want to wash my mouth out with gasoline.

Also, I seem stuck with one tobacco flavor (Dekang Desert Ship 24 mg). It's very satisfying to me in terms of flavor, TH and craving control. I read and read about the bacco flavors and have tried several. These include Backwoods Casablanca, which I'm trying really hard to like) , Titanvapor's American Extract ( supposedly a Marlboro but tastes and smells like burning wood to me) Pal Mal, Dekang cigar ( not even close) and several others, but I'm still searching for MY perfect vape.

Right now, I think I still need a tobacco flavor. So far I haven't even wanted something that might not satisfy my cigarette addiction.

I have however experimented with some different flavors just to see if I could find something fun and tasty. So far, no luck. Other than some chocolate chip mint that another member sent me, nothing tastes even close to it's description.

Hazelnut, no way. Pina Colada, not like any I ever drank. Orchard Frost from Backwoods, what the hell is that? It tasted neither orchardy nor frosty.

My sense of smell and taste are coming back in a huge way and my wife agrees with most of my taste assessments so I don't think it's just me.

She, btw, confiscated the chocolate chip mint and I may never see it again. Apparently, the company that made/distributed it was involved in some egregious malfeasance here at ECF but that was before my time here. I may never find it again.

Anyway, how do you handle a taste session where you want to try several juices on your quest for the one's that you always want around?

Again, thanks for your support and sharing.

If any of you have ever read any Spider Robinson, this place reminds me a lot of Calahan's.

" Calahan's Crosstime Saloon" it's a great read.

Although I haven't tried them, Aroma e-cigs have a WTA (whole tobacco alkaloid) liquids which seem to give users more of the smoking experience. I've seen a few reviews of them where the user actually got a "rush" like they did when they smoked.

Might be worth looking into if you are really needing the analog experience.

On cleaning an atomizer between different eliquids, the best option I have found is PGA (pure grain alcohol) like Everclear. It has the cleaning attributes of alcohol without the after taste and it evaporates quickly unlike water.

Considering you like Desert Ship, I would suggest you try Liberty Flights PG version "Home Counties". A smooth tobacco-like flavor. A couple of others you should consider in the same vain is Janty's PG Tobacco and their RY4. Both are smooth and subtle.

Good Luck

I'm one of the lazy ones and don't clean an atty between flavor testing. I do start with the lightest and least likely to leave a lingering taste and just move up the line from there. However, I have heard that some people drip either unflavored eliquid between flavors to burn off the first flavor, or just use plain PG or VG between flavors instead of the unflavored. I really recommend always having some unflavored on hand, quick and easy to make especially if you buy a small bottle of nic juice in close to the nic mg you are using, and just make up a small bottle. PG and VG are both readily available and not expensive.

The unflavored will also help you to adjust some of the flavored eliquids you don't like. The unflavored is also good just to vape by itself if you want a vacation from flavored. It's not truly unflavored as it has a very light sweet taste and is very refreshing.
